Team with fragile bones....

Sorry guys, but iŽam so bored of all the injuries with this team.

Pronger is out for his career
Meszaros hasnŽt played 2/3 of the games in his last 3 years
Coburn is always injured and donŽt played well
JVR was injured all the time
Carter has broken his foot 2times in one season
Hartnell has broken his feet this season
Grossman has injuries every now and then....

Is this team make out of glass?

Did Carter missed a game with LA?
Why can other teams play a full season with 6 dman?

IŽam so tired of injuries. This team is doing anything wrong!

Hockey's a rough sport injuries will always occur. The Flyers seem to have bad luck when it comes to injuries though.

pronger - never hurt, career ending eye/head injury - hardly fragile
mez - yes, always hurt ---too bad, bc hes a good player
coburn - literally never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever hurt ----good thread timing i guess
jvr - soft as butter - but not on the team anymore
carter - soft as butter yes, but in a different way - played 80 or more games in 4 of 6 seasons as a flyer
hartnell - literally missed 3 games in 5 seasons prior to this season...yeah, made of glass
grossmann - missed what, 4 games total for us???

yes, we've had bad luck with injuries this year, but outside of mez having bad luck, this thread makes no sense - sorry to be a dick but its an annoying time to be a flyer fan right now, and im on edge (especially with all the ******* flyer "fans" hoping we tank for jones )

This team is doing anything to let us fans stop hoping for a playoff ending this year. IŽam a fan and not a dumb lemming! So why shouldnt i look to the bad things in this team. We must learn from this season to start better next year.

One Problem this season are the injuries. So we must find a way to solve it. Step one: Get rid of players who are injured a lot!

Meszaros is for sure someone who must go!!

I believe we had one of the more healthier teams in the league last season.
A lot of times injuries are just bad luck.

It's still not the reason we suck.
This team should make the playoffs despite those injuries.

because of our bad standings and the shortend season all players are rushed after being a bit healthy...

Read played worst after coming back, Hartnell, Meszaros also.

In a longer season they maybe can train 2 weeks on skates before coming back in the lineup.

Also Coburn seems to be injured for a long time. He barely gets on outlet pass out of the zone and now he is injured his shoulders. Imo he is suffered this bad shoulder after 5 - 8 games and played through it!

In my oppinion Injuries are a huge part of our "success"

Shot blocking injuries? meh. They'll happen to teams that block shots.

I'm more concerned about muscular injuries. I seem to recall (correct me if I'm wrong) that groin injuries are common for the Flyers. That makes me think it's an area of neglect for the staff.

Sometimes you're lucky with injuries. Sometimes you're not. In 2010, Pronger, Timonen, Coburn, and Carle combined to miss 3 games the entire season. In 2011, Meszaros, Timonen, Coburn, Carle, and O'Donnell combined to miss two games. No one was complaining about fitness and the trainers back then.

This is why you need organizational depth.

Add in the reluctance to wear visors. Pronger didn't wear one and likely would have had nothing but a scare if he had. Simmonds keeps getting his face bashed and refuses to wear one.

Regardless, talk to the Sens about injuries. Everyone keeps waiting for them to crash and they've lost way more quality players and for a longer period of time.

Meh. Most teams have a ton of injuries to deal with. I don't think the Flyers are too much different than other teams. They might have a few more from time to time, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Yeah, it's not like we lost our #1, future Hall of Fame defenseman and captain or anything...

It's the food the players eat. It has been contaminated with something that lowers the density of calcium, making bones brittle.

That is the case with all athletes. There is a reason why athletes "heal" so much faster than the rest of the general public.
