They may serve no purpose at all, but I love the look of laces on the collar so I like that news.

Actually, the major news in that article wasn't the laces, it's the fact that there will be 2 new logos.

So that probably means the end for both and the state of Texas outline.

Personally I could care less about the laces, but I think ultimately it will get to the point where laces don't have a vintage feel because they'll be on every jersey in the league.

I wouldn't be surprised if the secondary logo was just an alteration of the Star logo or State of Texas outline...but then again...

If it looks anything like London's jersey, laces will be fine. I currently own a bo horvat version of this and it looks amazing, feels amazing, and the laces are a big part of it. So im not too nervous about the laces.

There has to be a "star" of some sort in the main logo........gotta have something that reflects the team name.

I'm getting more and more antsy waiting for this reveal!

Not a fan of laces, but I'll still buy one.

nah, i prefer a darker look. allows you to sport the colors in more formal social settings as well as gametime keg parties lol.

For me, I've never seen laces as traditional or vintage. It just seems that way because the fake throwback third jerseys the Avs put together had them.

8 out of 10 of the Winter Classic team jerseys had laces.

That is because the NHL marketing people who want to build up the "classic" part of the name know casual fans mistakenly associate laces with old jerseys, so they make the teams wear jerseys with laces.

You can see them here and there on jerseys from the 50s through the 70s, but laces were not used as often as you would think nor do they go back as far as you probably expect.

I am beginning to get very nervous about these new sweaters. I hope they hit a homerun with them.

Rumored to be around this isn't it? Looks fine to me. Not sure how it'll look on ice. Yolo!? Haha!

the boston celtics use the exact same "pantone" of green that the minnesota north stars used (and the dallas stars used in the inaugural season).

so this is how it'll look on the ice, if we indeed use the exact shade as the celtics:

The Hartford Whalers wore a pretty bright shade of green for much of their existence:

The new green uniforms should look sharp.
