If it looks anything like London's jersey, laces will be fine. I currently own a bo horvat version of this and it looks amazing, feels amazing, and the laces are a big part of it. So im not too nervous about the laces.
That is because the NHL marketing people who want to build up the "classic" part of the name know casual fans mistakenly associate laces with old jerseys, so they make the teams wear jerseys with laces.
You can see them here and there on jerseys from the 50s through the 70s, but laces were not used as often as you would think nor do they go back as far as you probably expect.
