Plante could hold the honor of who wore it the most and that was only as a callup when Daymond Langkow hurt both feet and missed about a month.

I really hope he gets a nice string of 2-5 games to settle in. As bad as the team plays right now it may still be his best (and maybe his only chance) to make this roster.

The season is lost anyway. No need to play Foster, Lilja or even Syvret who are all not in the organizations future plan.

Why? Because they didn't call up Lilja instead?

I would like to see him in ALL the remaining games - bring up Akeson and Holmstrom too.

agreed but Holmstrom just started skating if i'm not mistaken. he's not ready yet.

on a somewhat related note let mcginn play, knuble is gone soon and the season is lost so why in gods name would he not be playing.

Curious to see what he can do in the NHL. Have heard good things about him. He's over Syvret and Lilja in the depth chart? Or they're just giving him ice time since we're not making the playoffs?

Kevin McCarthy made a somewhat benign statement about Lauridsen in that he gives the Flyers a better chance of winning. But it is also about evaluating in a regular season game or more. And the intangibles of a player who would be enthusiastic rather than someone who has been through the ritual was also a consideration.

I must have missed the games where Marshall impressed. The few games I saw (which I could have sworn was all of his NHL games) he sucked

Well at that point Marshall had fallen that low that 10 minutes of EV TOI and a half decent performance were already stunning some people.

He was just trying to survive out there, every time he got the puck it was like the puck was a grenade on his stick and he desperately tried to get rid of it.

He showed why he'd been in the AHL. It was only one game so I'm not going to judge too hard, but he's not too confident with the puck and he got caught out of position a couple times. I'm sure he got caught up in the speed of the game (especially that first shift). Hopefully they let him play out the year to see what they have.

Yeah, I don't want to judge him too hard, either, but he didn't look that great out there. Certainly, yesterday's effort wasn't good enough for the NHL, but hopefully he's better than that.

i think any time bearclaw spends with timmonen and pronger just the way they use angles and positioning will be very helpfull in the long run. early 20s is still a young d-prospect and ive always considered him a project player. id let him finish the year and take what he learns back to the farm. we are close enough to the end of the year that we dont have to worry about watching the number of games played

Took a couple penalties, but overall was sort of okay. Not great, but didn't embarrass himself either. Got beat to take the hooking penalty in the 3rd, but that's going to happen. Still would rather he play than Foster.

Just needs to keep skating and nt default to hooking

Eh, from what I've seen these past two games, I'd rather Foster played, at least until there's a shot at the playoffs. I wasn't impressed with Lauridsen's play at all. Bad penalties, unable to clear the puck, not particularly strong on the boards. Then again, I'd sit Huskins and let both Lauridsen and Foster play.
