The race for Vincent Despres has begun haha.

Didnt someone just sign up for Ottawa? Seems odd they would willingly let a first line player go at age 24.

Lets not be going anyone ideas haha.

And I guess I've been over-valuing 4 star guys. Schwartz went white stars at 81 ovr, Howden at 82, and I have a strong feeling that McNeill will stop at 81 since he had a solid year last year and didnt improve but 1 overall.

That's weird about Schwartz. I've had him get to 89 overall before in offline GM.

Oh I know. That's why I traded for him. I've had him since year one, and he lead my team in points two years ago.

The season before that he was injured 60 games, and last year he got injured about 65 so I guess thats the problem. Ridic.

Wait, did he have a higher overall before hitting white stars?

I feel your pain to a certain extent though, Charlie Coyle hovered around 78-81 overall for a few years before maxing out at 80.

How the hell did I spend like 23 million when I only had around 17 mil in cap space. Not only did I get Despres, I got Samsonpv, another solid LWer. I thought I was gonna get one or the other, and I only had cap space to haha

That's weird, it won't let me make more than one free agent bid if it puts me over the cap, nevermind wind up over the cap with their successful signings. Say I have $10 million in space and make a $7 million offer, I couldn't then go offer $3.5 million to the next guy on the list. Did you use the app?

Likewise, I offered 4-5 free agents some pretty good deals and nothing.

You got both of them?

I haven't checked who signed with me yet, but IIRC those were the only two players I sent offers to who weren't prospects, so I guess rebuild mode is on in Carolina. Everyone over 30 is available, and maybe some other players if you overpay. That includes Phil Kessel who is 88 overall and only 32! And if you're looking for a quick fix in net, Cam Ward is still an elite goalie, but he is 35. I'm looking for young player/prospects with potential. Act quick, because I'll ship some of my players off to a computer team if I don't get good offers.

I got my starting goalie and Okposo, I'll call that a success.

Sorry Maxy, but that goalie is sadly their starter. He could be 88 in a few years.

I've already come up with a trade that involves Phil Kessel going to a CPU team, so if you want him you better send me an offer within the next couple days. I don't want to wait very long before I ship him out.

Managed to snag Ceci (82/ 3.5 STARS), and Galchenyuk (82/4.5 Stars).

My LW is still looking pretty weak, but I'm hoping to add a couple of left over UFA's to fill the gap.

Nah I did it on my xbox. And thats weird, ive never had a problem offering a couple contracts even if I couldnt afford them.

I usually go after a big name guy, but have a back up plan for a little less in case I don't get the first guy. I had no idea I was the exception haha.

Though my disc has been weird since I bought it on release. I remember I used to not be able to go to trades, or roster moves because it would just automatically skip past it for some reason, though that is done with thankfully.

Also my game freezes during gameplay EVERY game. I haven't played a full game of any kind, not even be a pro since the first month I got the game. I used my friends disc and it does the same thing, so its just my xbox.

Thats why I spend so much time on connected haha, I can't even play the game!
