His lack of any actual hockey skill.

If the plan is to double-shift Kane again, than they have to bring up someone. Who knows, maybe they'll make a trade too. You'd like to think they'll bring in someone if Hossa's not going to play against LA (we know Sharp won't).

I'd like to see Morin:

Saad - Toews - Morin
Hayes - Bolland - Kane
Bickell - Shaw - Stalberg
Carcillo - Kruger - Frolik

Then, when Hossa comes back:

Saad - Toews - Hossa
Morin - Bolland - Kane
Bickell - Shaw - Stalberg
Hayes - Kruger - Frolik

Then, when Sharp comes back, go back to the regular lines.

Oh yeah I remember, you were one of those that concluded he wouldn't play another game with Hawks after his suspension/injury.

.
Has he played since then? I hadn't even noticed.

You didn't notice his game-winning goal against the Avalanche to keep the point streak alive?

I like Carcillo and he does play an important role on the Hawks. He has just not been given enough ice time as of late. I don't think he is quite back to form yet but at least he has been playing good clean hockey. He needs to get back to his game of agitating without taking needless penalties.

I think you know it takes more than statistics to be a valuble asset and that we will need Carcillo (or equivalent if Stan surprises) in playoff hockey where the weak tend to disappear and soft teams are expoited.

why dress Carcillo when he is not healthy while sitting Mayers in the press box?

Carcillo seemed to be moving better last night.

Let'em rest. Although I think I think Sharp won't be in solid form come playoff time. His timing was still off after 15-20 games into the season.

what really makes sense since we already made the POs and have a team good enough to still win...

Blackhawks have put Marian Hossa on injured reserve retroactive to March 19. I'm told it is a technicality and not to read into it.

Hossa to IR move retroactive to March 19, which means he doesn't have to stay on for any length of time etc, #Blackhawks #NHL

It means that by making it retroactive to 3/19, Hossa can be taken off IR anytime because the minimum time requirement to stay on IR has already been met. It's either 7 or 10 days - I don't remember which, but in either case today (3/30) is more than 7 or 10 days past 3/19.

It's probably just a procedural move to free up a roster spot so the Hawks can either bring up a player from Rockford or acquire a player in a trade. Teams can have only 23 players on the active roster until after the trade deadline when they can expand the roster to more than 23.

I do not think both sharp and Hossa come back today. Me thinks Thursday or Saturday.

With the lead in the west and a game in hand....I am fine with that. The kids have been filling in well for the most part.

Yeah, no reason to rush anything right now.
