back to dumont

back to this again. are we in the running for dumont??. i dont know where we are when it comes to the salary cap, but do we have room for him?? and even if we did do we bother picking up the 2.9m or save it for the deadline??...any thoughts??

i think if we can we should take a shot at it. he would be a good fit on our team, i honestly dont know where he plays though, if he's a centre good, winger i think even better at this point, we have some good centre depth now that tanguay plays centre but if dumonts a centre we can put tanguay on the wing where he's more comfortable, so i feel it would work either way...

I don't think Dumont will be a good fit for our Flames. We have our wingers set for this season, and Dumont don't fit. IMO. He will end up somewhere like Chicago or Pittsburgh.

i agree, Calgary is fine on the wing. Our weak spot is at center. Our faceoff efficiency could be improved upon as well.

The only thing this team needs is a solid #1 center. Then we can keep Tanguay on LW, and move Langkow to the 2nd line. Yelle fits well as the 3rd line center. Lombardi i guess could take the 4th line.

Lombardi better step it up this year. If not, I'll be very willing to deal him.

I don't see why the Flames should get him. Honestly, I don't see why any team should get him at 3 mil.

Anyway, Calgary really has no need for another scoring winger, there's just no room! You guys have an excellent and overall much improved team together that might very well compete for the Cup!

I hope you are right, I just wish we weren't hoping Tanguay works out at center ice, and that Friesen returns to his glorious past.

Remember, Dumont can be signed for any amount he agrees upon. Be it 550K, if he accepts it, it happens.

He's an unrestricted free agent...it is what it is.
