To be fair, Coborne was playing quite well until injured last year and has played very well the second half of this season. It's very likely that he was still not 100% for the first half this year. On top of that, he's a big guy that looks like a ten month old Great dane, still not comfortable in his own body.

As far as the return, I was thinking of a package type of deal to a seller. JC + for an established player.

All this being said, I'm not encouraging trading him. Just currious of the return.
In my opinion he took some terrible advice avoiding surgery to play through some rough injuries last year. He has shown to be a dominant performer when healthy (when he was playing along Joey Crabb) and he is starting to get healthy and this is showing in his production and play. He's worth a call up at this point if we lose a C to injury.

He's admitted that was his fault. He's also shown his dominant form of the late. Good to hear and see. He's a keeper IMO.

Talks between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks resurfaced this week, as it's been widely reported, but it might take another team's assistance to get a deal done, a league source told TFP.
The Leafs and Canucks have revisited the possibility of shipping goalie Roberto Luongo to Toronto in exchange for center Tyler Bozak, a prospect or two, and possibly a draft pick and/or backup goaltender.

Leafs forward Nikolai Kulemin, defensemen John-Michael Liles and Korbinian Holzer, and prospects Tyler Biggs, Stuart Percy and Jesse Blacker have also been attached to a possible trade.

Vancouver has been scouting the Leafs quite a bit this season, and has a scout present at Thursday's 6-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

The key, it appears, for the Canucks is acquiring a center that can make an immediate impact.

Bozak fills a hole on Vancouver's second line, and once Ryan Kesler returns from injury, Bozak would slide down to the team's third line.

The problem for the Maple Leafs, however, is that Bozak is used as the club's first-line center, and solving one area in goal would create another problem up the middle.

According to a team executive, the Leafs are open to the idea of dealing Bozak, who is in the final year of his current contract and might not be re-signed this summer, but only if they can replace him via a second trade.

Trade the Holzers, Gunnars, Colbornes but do NOT trade the Biggs, Percys or Gardiners

Can't believe I'm saying it...but we cannot lose Bozak at this point. Lol

I don't even like reading that Kulemin is being linked to a possible trade

Yeah, Kulemin is a very important part of this team. I feel like he will be a beast in the playoffs.

Keep all roster players and just get a vet defenseman like Morris, Salo, Robidas for cheap.

Thats all I want Nonis. Even if they stand pat, I will be happy.

I don't like this talk about moving Biggs, Percy, Kulie, Gardiner etc.

I'd be willing to move those players of ours if we get another young player of equal caliber back (example moving one of the defensemen for a forward like we did with Aulie + Ashton). But those trades don't happen that often. I too would be happy standing pat, would love it if we get one of those guys. But with prices being as high as they are, we will probably end up standing pat, maybe a minor league deal or two. Will find out soon enough

Totally agreed. Only moving prospects for other prospects.

Hopefully we can nab one of those vets for a 3rd/2nd pick max. If not, just roll into the playoffs and see what these guys are made of.

I wouldn't mind acquiring a young shutdown Dman to add to our core. we are lacking that type as of right now. Unless one of Percy/Finn take some big steps.

Me neither. We score a good player in the second round. He's finally rounding out to be a good all around player and everyone wants to trade him.

If we trade him for a better player... I'm not against moving him.

But I wouldn't move him for Chris Stewart and Ryan Clowe like some have suggested

Keep Kulemin, only player imo we can afford to trade right now is MacArthur, as we've been just fine while he's been out the last few, though I think Nonis will keep him as we'll need as much depth as possible for the playoff push then for playoffs itself.

I am not sure what to think of him any more, after his fire and ice talent swings. Last year was a mistake, but wasn't he supposed to be knitted up by camp this year? Was the wrist thing disclosed as the ongoing problem or is this just an assumption?

No question he is playing better, and his trade value is so meager, keeping him is a moot point. Also he is physically mature enough to potentially make the jump and contribute right away, so dodgy AHL stats don't mean anything. A role of the dice but also potentially ready to help them right away.

They do seem to love former Leaf Dmen right now. They have Cola, White and Lashoff.

I love Kaberle but no we dont need him back. It is too hard to get rid of bad contracts in the new CBA.

We need big stay at home Dman anyway.

Hell no. Waste of extra money

Komi is a DFD which we need much more than a PMD

Blues, pens, wings all making moves. Boston trying to... You have to think Nonis will try to get something done before the deadline, to avoid any kind of bidding war
