This. We need an extra defensive midfielder in there.

And someone tell Di Vaio to stop giving up on plays and whining all the ****ing time.

I think taking out Ouimette might break his spirit. Rookie mistakes. Leave him in. But we do need some urgency.

Fortunately, I don't think we can do much worse

As Saku and Gionta have said, I think if we add a 2nd defensive mid it would help him out. We don't have a true d-man on the bench right now, might as well keep him in and let him learn.

Not a single sub to start the half. A little surprised to be honest.

Arnaud, why force the ball through 2 d-men when you have Mapp wide open on the flank?

Caught a few glimpses of the first half while I was watching the Habs shutout the Rags and it looks like the Impact are facing their toughest opponent so far. Would be nice to get at least a point here but it doesn't look good.

Definately our toughest opponent so far, but this is also our worse showing so far. Can't do much right so far tonight.

Decent shot by MDV there considering it was his left foot. Probably could've done better though.

We are due for a sub. And there it is. Wenger in for Felipe. Also Nyassi in for Romero

Not a great pass by Mapp, but ffs at least put pressure on the d-man MDV. Completely stops his run and gives the d-man all the time in the world to get out of his zone.

What a shot by Bieler. Close to being 2-0.

I would sub out MDV. Looks uninterested and hasn't shown much effort. I'd put Smith in. LOL and there it is!

That sums up the game...Great effort by Zusi who doesn't go down when Ouimette tries to slow him down. Ferrari let Zusi make that run. Just wasn't our game tonight.

Schallibaum thrown out after the 2nd goal lol.

I'm thinking it might be due to the fact he had a yellow. Just my guess though.

Wenger should've taken the shot there.

Schalli threw the water bottle at the wrong target. Should of have thrown it to the team.

Nobody had a good game tonight. Not even Bernier who is usually pretty consistent.

2 weeks until the next game. Forget about this game and come out strong vs Columbus at home.

Not our best effort but KC is one good team too. Best to just forget it and start a new winning streak next game.

Soony Saad. Isn't this the guy who was projected to go 1st overall in the Wenger draft but turned pro right before?

Yep.

Couldn't win them all. Rather lose on the road, against one of the best teams in the MLS, than at home against a "mid table" team. At least now this will shake the boys up and put them back on the ground.

Only 1 shot on target..And it didn't really test Nielsen either.

True but the way we lost this one is worrying

Without a shadow of a doubt. But the fact that we lost this clearly in a one-sided game will make it easier for the coaching staff to point out what went well and what didn't. Its harder to analyze and point out the downsides of a 1-0 game that was really close and tense than a 2-0 domination by Sporting KC.

Starts with Ball control. We didn't have it, conceded early, and couldn't counter attack. We'll have to find a way to rotate our players and create movement around the ball carrier to avoid this in the future. If you have a triangle of outlets, similarly to what Barca do, its hard to get caught when under possesion. You don't have to be the best players in the world to pass like this. All you need is discipline and understanding. I'm not saying we should play like Barca. What I'm saying is that when we play against oponents that are pressuring our players on the ball, we have to find a way to move around and create outlets.

Normally your defensive mid should always be open, as he stands near the center backs. Once you get out of pressure, either going forward to an attacking player, or backwards to a Defensive mid or center back, its easier to switch the play and relieve pressure.

what went wrong is that they scored first. we cant play our style if we have to come back. i dont know who pinched in on the first goal but it shouldnt have happened.
