Sens have 44 points, Oil have 33.

So yes, the grass is greener over there.

The Jets are leading the SE division.

That should say all you need to know about the Eastern Conference.

This Leafs love-in on CBC is making me physically ill. When they (unfortunately) snap their playoffless streak this Spring they're going to make SUCH a big deal out of it. They'll probably bring back players from every team since 1967 and make a pre-game ceremony out of it complete with a banner and video packages... the works.

They'll probably get swept. I don't trust that defense or goaltending.

So, if the Oil were in the SE, they would be leading the division?

The point is, the Oil are not in the playoffs, the other Canadian teams are (except Calgary) and I'm jealous of them.

You can be satisfied with another playoff miss if you want though. I don't mind.

That division is even weaker than ours. If Carolina's goalies were healthy the Jets wouldn't even be near the top of the division.

There are a plethora of weak teams in the Eastern conference.

Agreed with this. People discount as well how easy it is to bag wins in the East against deplorable clubs.

Ottawa wouldn't even make the playoffs in the West.

Winnipeg Jets? What a joke. -17 scoring differential, second worst in the conference, and they lead their division. lol. Division of utter and absolute fail.

The Jets are worse than Colorado. Only the conference disguises that.

Not me. Can't stand the goon teams. I put Boston, Philly, Toronto in that category.

Two of those clubs, with any luck, will miss the playoff or deserve to.

Leafs are getting short found success but what a terrible model to follow, the Philly Flyers, lol, how is that working?

Unbelievable player. Fast, sick hands, great shot, and physical as well.
Toronto is a good team? I missed the memo there. This is first round playoff fodder IF they make it there.

Leafs are everything wrong with the NHL in one basket.

Best case scenario is Chicago winning. Although we're only one point out of 8th, we're four points out of 7th, and that's Detroit.

3-0 Hawks after the first. If they hold on to win in regulation, the Oilers would be 4 back of Detroit with a game in hand.

4-0. Hawks just toying with the Wings.

EDIT: Make that 5-0.

Well I guess in Toronto you don't know what a good hockey club ever looks like. Not really your fault though.

Toews had a delay of game penalty coming for shooting the puck out before the hit

It wouldn't surprise me if the Red Wings fell out of it despite Datsyuk's brilliance and Zetterberg's steadiness.

Just noticed that Flames' fans get really upset when you tell them that Iginla likely won't re-sign there in the offseason.
