Maybe but I have no faith in Clowe. We better get someone like Mathias, Fleischmann or even Talbot.

I like this. It's way more original than the same ol' same ol' that we've been hearing here in the past week or three.

Wouldn't ya know it, but by that time he'll be scoring 1.5 points a game for (fill in the team).

Well.....do they have any dead from the neck up players available for us instead of him? We're suckers for a lousy deal if we can't get a decent one.

P.S. When I heard about the trade for Uginla and then the subsequent result I felt bad for you. You've been selling it here for five(?) years.

He has zero goals.

A 3rd should be enough for a guy with less goals than Chris Bourque.

That's the most I personally would give up for Clowe, everything else is a total waste.

But realistically, what will he fetch? Sharks are getting more than a 3rd, they may as well just keep him in the press box for that.

Then let some other team get him. It's not that Clowe is the ultimate piece to win the cup.

Realistically I bet he gets. Second and a prospect like Bartkowski.

Too much, but that is what he will get.

I don't think this "piece" exists.

That's kind of what I think he'll go for too.

Or someone like Koko straight up.

Whatever it is it will seem like over payment at the time, but could end up being a great deal. Or could end up like Bochenski for Versteeg and I don't really like Versteeg.

I just hope he realizes he can't pull what he did last year and acquire guys like with the caliber of Zanon and Mottau.

He significantly has to upgrade our team.

Those pieces are already on this team and they've shown it. They just need to solidify the rest of the lineup IMO.

David Pollak ‏@PollakOnSharks

Clowe highlights on the #SJSharks video board now. Must be for the scouts, eh?

It sure does not. Clowe certainly is not the perfect way to start your journey. There are way better pieces out there.

So who then is this "ultimate piece" that you feel the Bruins could acquire?

Well, the Panthers have some interesting guys on their roster I would go after before Clowe. Like Matthias, Fleischmann, even Kopecky.

I think Talbot could be useful. Is he under contract or a pending Ida?

I still think they will need to pick up at least a winger for Krejci and most importantly a defenseman who can play second pairing.

In a perfect world there would be 3 players-winger for Krejci (Jagr, Pominville, etc), winger for the 3rd (Yeti, Clowe, Talbot etc) and a defenseman (haven't got a clue-most seem to expensive or not much better than Ference).

Sharks don't need or want D prospects, we're stacked on d. We need forward prospects.

There doesn't appear to be an "ultimate" piece out there, but they are going to need to patch some holes with a few piece(S). However, the biggest improvements this team can make are internal improvements. That is, pulling collective head out of collective arse.

Darcy Regier in an interview yesterday stated that there are no untouchables and he is speaking to many GM's about all of his key players and could be willing to move any of them if the price is right and by the sounds of it he wants prospects and draft picks and not roster players in return

How great would it be after seeing Pitt add a couple of captains from around the league to snap up Buffalo's captain who is much younger then the two they got and is probably going to put up much better numbers then Morrow or Iginla in the future..Plus he's a RW and a decent cap hit, seems like a perfect fit to me..Surprised more people aren't seeing it..Maybe it could be a combo deal with Pominville + Regher

How about

Koko
1st
Bart/Krug
2nd

for

Pominville
Regher

I would be happy with Talbot for the third line and a defensman. The ideal scenario would be a 1st line winger, a third line winger and a defensman.
