Game 1 Calgary vs Edmonton

Kippper is down 4-0 after the first period, does Playfair pull him?

Rollie is down 4-0, does he get pulled?

No and No. First game of the year, I don't think a coach will be pulling their started in the first period even if they are down 4-0. Want to see if the goalie and team can respond and rebound.

The scary thing is, with the Oilers offense they could put up four. But with the D, they could give up four too (to Calgary!)

i think with calgarys getting a couple potential impact players they could put up 4 pretty easily every now and then as well. dont get me wrong, edmonton is still much more dangerous offencivly and if i was to bet i would put money on them for a high scoring game, but calgary should get some 7-1, 6-0, 5-1 games this season as well, unlike last year, where it literally never happened, they get a 3-0 lead and just literally stop playing offence, maybe some individual efforts and the top line can put in some bonus goals and give us a reason to watch the third period when calgary has a 2 or 3 goal lead.

back on topic, i dont think either goalie gets pulled in the first game of the season, and it being the first game, a little rust maybe , i think it will be a high scoring game. if i remember correctly kiprusoff dosent play to well in the first/first couple game(s) of the season
