Well you probably don't notice it, but whenever it's intermission time on CBC, the first subject matter on the table is always what's going on with the leafs. Whether they're about to tank, try to clinch an 8th spot or sitting in 6th in the east... Doesn't matter if the Sedin's dominate the entire league or if the habs are in 6th, 1st or last, if Spezza and Alfie have as much pts as Malkin and Crosby. It's all futile because on CBC the leafs are so important that their every little actions must be spotlighted.

I think it's clear that there's a lot of investors in T.O that are little too close to CBC. I would go far as to be saying that CBC is being used as a publicity puppet and it's working. I don't think there's a single sports franchise in the world who have been so under-achieving and so successful financially.

No RT @Berger_BYTES: As we speak, Nazem Kadri and Joffrey Lupul may be the two best players in the National Hockey League.

Except maybe some NFL team... another league with similar parity.

But, right now, the Leafs seem capable of getting a playoff spot, even though some of you might not like it.

Not sure if you've been following the standings, but the leafs ARE in the payoffs, comfortably. It's all about seeding now and home ice.

I'd ideally want Tor/Ott to jockey for 5th while we stay in 2nd (remember, if we wanna go far, we want home ice as long as possible). If we do make it out of rd 1 by beating the 7th seed, the 8th seed will be eliminated (let's be real...whoever is in that spot sucks bad and is playing the pens) and we'll play the 6th (best scenario) or the winner of Ott/Tor vs Boston.

That all depends on a huge rally from now til the end. We have 3 pts on Boston (thanks Philly!), let's keep it going!

Am I mistaken or has NHL.com not yet updated the fact that Boston played and lost? They still have them at 33 games played and streak at Lost 1.

Their game vs us ended in OT/SO. It has its' own category when it comes to streaks.
Win/Lose/OT.

Detroit is set up for a decline in the next few years if Zetterberg and Datsyuk decline.

Sean Avery @imseanavery

Fire this CLOWN, his players hate him and wont play for his BS.... @imseanavery is #winning

#NYR Callahan cont'd. "He did not speak for us as a team when he was here and certainly does not now."

Pretty sure most NYR players agree with Avery and not Callahan.

Might make his personal life difficult but I can imagine he'd be able to play with a jaw protector.

A week or two if he plays with a full cage. Depends how bad it is.

Callahan might agree with Avery for all we know. But Avery indeed is not the representative of the opinions of the Rags' players. Callahan is moreso that because he is the captain but not everyone is going to follow the captain.

Brandon Saad is making a calder push. 2 goals and an assist today. Great young player picked mid-2nd round that I have in a keeper league...and he's probably in the top 10 of the reasons why we have Galchenyuk since he was a beast vs the Sting the 2012 OHL playoffs, limiting Galchenyuk's exposure to scouts. So thank you Brandon Saad.
