currently;

Hjalmarsson
Stuart
Volchenkov

Hjalmarsson is playing some of the best hockey of his career right now, Stuart and Volchenkov have started to slow down, and with Volchenkov i mean literally, he is such a slow skater injuries have really taken a tole on him.

I'm pretty sure the average defenseman is better then Stuart defensively. He can neutralize ppl well but gets out of position. I pick Hjalmarsson.

that doesn't make much sense, Hjalmarsson does not have much of any of an offensive repertoire, not that stuart does either. Can't count how many times hjalmarsson's panicked with the puck and fired it off the glass

Wings fan. Figures. Stuey's been brilliant this season, great defensively, on the penalty kill, everything. Dunno where we'd be without him, but it would probably be competing for Mackinnon.

Stuart if you can get around the aberration that was last season.

Stuart is an amazingly consistent defenseman. As our statistics nerds have pointed out, his Corsi would be better if he hadn't mostly been paired up with another stay-at-home defenseman in Vlasic this season. He's not a puck-rusher. At all.

He looked fantastic two games ago with Demers, playing brutal minutes almost exclusively in the defensive zone. It's nice to have another defenseman who you can fall back on.

Hjalmarsson I would pick if I needed a shot-blocker more than anything.
