#90 (Petrov) was worse, for that matter

I like how Nichushkin just shrug off Tereschenko, one of the better defensive forwards in KHL.

It's awesome to see a prospect who is still wearing a cage deciding play off games, whether its WJC U18, VHL, MHL or KHL! - he just keeps doing it. It's been a while since we had a prospect like that.

Is he easily ahead of Barkov or Lindholm (or Jones, MacKinnon or Drouin if you don't feel they are top three)?

Not quiet true, he plays on 4th youth line with other scoring play making forwards. And some of his shifts are on a hybrid line with kuznetsov and Chistov

Talked to an NHL Euro scout today: "If Nichushkin isn't selected either first or second overall, it's only because of the Russian factor."

I don't think so. I believe there is a group of prospects (all those above mentioned players + Nichushkin) who are on the same level in terms of skills and talent. Everyone of them deserves to be 1st overall in this draft.

Well, last 2(or 3?) games, since Dugin is injured, one of those "scoring play making forwards" is Nesterov who is D but now plays center on that line.

I actually thought he looked really good out there on forward... Its interesting that they would opt to put him in rather than a natural forward like Osnovin, who dressed for the 4th game. Maybe Nesterov will be a permanent addition to the forward ranks

NHL Central Scouting, or an NHL teams scout?

I have heard from many people who say that he is a faster version of Rick Nash. Is that accurate?

Well he answered my question on Twitter. It was a NHL team scout, not central scouting.

Good player but the amount of times he has his head down in each and every video is not a good sign, he won't feel it now but in the NHL where players actually hit he'll get rocked. Nice fly by by number 90 in that video Kid's a stud muffin though, Looks exactly like Max Pacioretty more then Rick Nash who I think has better Hockey sense.

Or the Seth and Nathan factor as well.

Great skill set, hopefully we will see it in the best league in the world someday.

This should be quoted in other players own threads and draft related threads as well. I think it will come down to which team is picking and what do they primarily need, a dman, winger, or center.

He is one of the bigger flight risks of the last few years.

Signed to the KHL for 2 more years, plays there currently, russian.

Not exactly the kind of player you want to risk a pick on when Jones and Mackinnon are there and are for sure going to play in the NHL next year.

Until teams get him into a room for interviews and see what his intentions are in terms of playing in the NHL, there's no telling where he'll be drafted.

Another very solid game from him. Ak Bars had their best D against him in Nikulin and a few others. They couldn't knock him off the puck a few times, one of his board battles led to the 3rd GWG. Another time he took both Defenseman down with him into the corner and the puck kept going to one of his guys. He had a few 1v1s and was fast as ever, very direct to the net and really broke up the mid-ice game flow.

You could hear the crowd and the commentator react the second he had the puck with a bit of open ice and he didn't disappoint.

All in all they did contain him, but just barely. He still kept sneaking to the net. They certainly couldn't get the puck from him. At 17 he still has lots of room for improvement but even his current level is very impressive.
