Bradley gets the start tomorrow.

I hope he is awesome.

I really hope this doesn't stunt his development.

Sabathia is going to be tough, but with all of new york's injuries we should take this series.

I hope Jon Lester gets lit up. I really don't like the guy anymore, having read about some of his punk-like activities towards the end of Tito's tenure.

Nobody will be pulling punk moves while Farrell is there.

This will be his shtick, but I wonder how long it'll work with today's pampered players.

No longer a fan of Lester because I also think he screwed Tito and he's not a big game pitcher, but I do hope he has a great season. Can't wish him ill despite the fact I don't like him

Hope we light up fat boy.

I just want baseball to be fun again. Honestly, after 93 losses, it can't get worse.

We split a season ticket package among family and I go to maybe 25-30 games a year and while I don't have high expectations for this team, I'm at least looking forward to going to the games this year. I fully expect Tampa to win the division and Toronto should take the second spot...but I can see 85 wins from this bunch.

The roster additions are solid if I want to return to the productive but not flashy style, and I'm fine with that. The people who are calling for this team to win the east are doing it based on so many what if's....there's a LOT of questions, but at least, in my opinion, these off-season moves at least make me feel confident things are going in the right direction. It takes more than a season to institute a culture change, and I know most Red sox fans feel the need to compete for the Series year in, year out, but I'm thrilled for a transition year. I wanna bank on futures.

Just be fun. Make Red Sox games must-see for me again.

Nope just a rare optimistic Red Sox fan. I think Farrell turns the team around, and they win a bunch of tough games they shouldn't.

That was in reference to LL calling the team a scrappy bunch of underdogs a few weeks ago...

The best thing I can say about Farrell is that guys like Lester and Bucholz are legitimately scared of him. They mentioned how strict and no nonsense he was after he left for Toronto and how different the new pitching coach was (I believe it was the dude from Oakland that first year). I always remembered that for some reason. Just how they spoke about the guy like he intimidated the hell out of them. It certainly beats the complacency they've showed since he left, so I think it's a huge positive. I still think their lineup is pretty sketchy, so I'm not calling for them to do much this year, but if Lester and Bucholz get back to what they were, it's a great step in the right direction.

I don't think that's Ferrell's "schtick", I think that is who he legitimately is.

Some of the luster off Lester after the last 18 months or so, but I never root for one of the home town team to get lit up, whether I like him personally or not.

That's just lame.

happy to see the 10 year run of rock band/circus like production at Fenway has ended and its baseball. What is wrong with a calm approach- I hope they realize the dog and pony show was another time and get back to just playing ball.

Love that Iglesias, Bradley, and Middlebrooks are in this lineup....really fun to watch the kids. I liken this team to the 2007-8 Bruins in many ways- I just hope they let Cherrington and Farrell take it slow and believe it or not people will like them and come out

ANSWER- Youk, Vernon Wells, Eduardo Nunez

QUESTION: What do you get for $228.8 Million in payroll to hit 4-6

I'd take the under at 81 for Yankees wins

Agreed, I'm really looking forward to seeing how these guys come together as a team and not a bunch of whiney overpaid individuals like we had last year. I think this team could actually be pretty good if they can stay healthy.
