Who cares though? Yandle could be good for us for years and he's the type of guy we hope that Gardiner will develop into one day. If Phoenix is looking to move him, why not trade a question mark for a sure thing?

There's no way Phoenix moves Yandle unless they're getting a top-2 centerman back. That would be the only reason he's available.

Yandle is the 3rd highest-scoring d-man in the NHL since the 2009-10 season. He's young, signed for multiple years and at a reasonable cap-hit. He instantly becomes a top-pairing defenceman on virtually every team in the league.

Philly seems like the perfect trading partner. Out of conference, starving for a top-pairing defenceman, and three strong centers, the one position that Phoenix desperately needs to address.

Start with one of Brayden Schenn or Couturier and then add......

Yeah Philly is a no brainer in all of this. They have the pieces to do it, and everything else you mentioned. Couturier is a hell of a starting point. Probably Couturier, B prospect and first round pick. It's a big price but Yandle is a young top 4 guy who can eat a ton of minutes, plus like you said he's signed for a while.

Extremely difficult to think that too.

I'd definitely bite on Schenn and a 1st for Yandle. However, I don't think the Flyers will separate him from his brother. I'm not convinced of Couturier's offensive potential, but he'd be a decent starting point. Flyers will have to add a bit more than if it were Schenn though IMO.

Exactly and Im not even sure if they'd do that. After OEL signed, Maloney was on NHL Radio and talked about how important it was for the Coyotes (in their current state) to have Yandle and OEL signed long term.

This is just TFP throwing things out there to talk about. I mean, sure every player is available for the right price. Im sure Tampa would trade Stamkos if Chicago sent them Toews, Kane and Keith.

There's NOTHING to this.

More like Tampa would trade Stamkos If Chicago gave us Sharp, Kane, Hoss and Toews.
