If anyone ever tells you these kids are amateurs, point out the didn't immediately stop this game for at least a day or two.

Tough to watch. I've seen some gruesome things and even broke my neck playing hockey, but seeing that live is up there. Poor kid.

The only thing I can say that compares is the Shaun Livingston injury. But that was a bunch of tears. Not an outright break like Ware's was. So gruesome. I hope he'll be okay and ready to play next year.

Probably more likely to never play again.

Hell, people lose limbs on injuries like that.

Can someone smarter than I am explain why, when there is a break like that, you don't bleed a lot of blood?

It would be a miracle if he doesn't have severe, permanent nerve damage.

I didn't watch it and not gonna....but unless the leg was severed and it wasn't the femoral artery, pressure on the area stops the bleeding pretty quickly, along with the regular clotting process. Plus, further you get away from the heart, blood just doesn't naturally flow as quickly.

Chances are the femoral artery wasn't damaged, but again...I didn't watch it.

It was as bad a compound fracture as I have ever seen. Like a horror movie.

You know it's bad when the trainers break into a sprint to cover up his leg.

That's awful. Weeks, months of rehab ahead of the kid.

He's luckily young and an athlete, so he's ahead of the curve.

Seriously, we admire what these athletes do, and think about it...they put their bodies into situations that can really be unnatural and at usually quick pace of speed. Add a shove, block, check, ect. All it takes sometimes is just a bad landing for even the strongest, best conditioned athletes to get seriously injured.

Good luck to Ware.

Happy Easter everyone!

I heard about that injury....yikes I haven't seen it and don't want to. Reminds me of Joe Theisman and Jason Kendall.

Break down of main board discussions:
25% Habs fans fishing for compliments
20% Pens fans fishing for compliment
10% habs fans explaining why they don't get favoritism from the officials or why diving isn't part of the team identity
10% Western fans explaining the huge gap in talent and competition between the east and west.
20% "What's/Who's your favorite....?"
5% Good old Anti-Americanism
10% Thoughtful discussion

Pitino just said that the bone popped out of the skin, is broken in 2 places, and will take a year to rehab.

Obviously very, very early and he was very emotional.

There's a half dozen Bruins fans that post on the main boards that make me cringe. Oddly enough I have never seen them post on this section.

You CAN, but that doesn't mean that you SHOULD. They will suck up a LOT of paint, and still won't look very good. If you want a new look or a refresh of the cabinets, I'd suggest a veneer.

like, sand the **** out of them and then veneer over it?

the wife is looking up ways to spruce up the kitchen without dropping a lot of money. we need hurricane shutters which will most likely cost the chunk of our house savings.
