Julien doesn't look impressed with that call.. I bet the excuse wheel will land on "It's the refs" if the Bruins lose tonight on the Bruins board..

PHI and WSH don't need any more top end talent. They have more than enough. Even if they won't be in our division, they will still be competition for playoff spots.

FLA is a lost cause for this season, they'll be in the top 3 for sure. With their limited financial resources I'm not concerned at all about them in the future. They are very far away from being competitive if Weiss bolts as expected.

TB will hopefully have the new coach effect to boost them and get them in the 7-10th pick range.

BUF has a lot of home games left to also hopefully finish 7-10.

Hopefully some of those mediocre West teams start to tank. PHX and NSH especially. Those 2 teams desperately need talent at C.

If Bruin killer Vanek was playing it would be 2-0 Sabres by now..

The Capitals have a lot of problems. A lot of talent too but they have more questions than answers. The team just doesn't seem right.

Flyers are more dangerous overall but they need to rebuild their defense. Unless they get Jones they will have the same fundamental flaws and lack of balance until they make some moves.

On the other hand as bad as the Sabres are, they already are the bane of our existence.

Before Scott joined the Sabres there would've been a Bruin cheapshotting a Sabres player to liven things up but that doesn't even happen now.

It's why their play is so stagnant - they're used to everyone being terrified of them. When gooning and intimidation fail, they have nothing left in their bag of tricks to fall back on.

I'm just looking at it from this perspective: They have in their primes or about to be in their primes Ovechkin-Backstrom-Carlson-Alzner with Forsberg and Kuznetsov as prospects. Add in a MacKinnon/Jones/Drouin/Barkov/Monahan/Lindholm and it's a scary core to me.

If they were in a position to get 1 of the quality C's in the draft, I would imagine Schenn or Couturier or the pick itself is in play for a top pairing D. PHX would be a possible match.

Yes, they are. Which is why I don't want them adding a stud prospect either. Then again, if they stink it up to end this year, do Vanek-Pominville-Miller all stay when they are UFAs in 2014? Do they trade them if they won't re-sign before next year's deadline? That would change the complexion of their team.

Thought we had some boring games this year but this Boston/Buffalo snooze fest takes it all!

The Bruins are painfully slow and boring to watch, and the Sabres are just awful down the middle.

If the Sabres played every team like they play the Habs and Bruins they would be comfortably in a playoff spot.. This snoozefest looks like it's gonna go to OT..

Any team that utilizes speed against the Bruins is successful. I really don't understand why MTL and other teams try to play physical with them, it just slows the game down for them.

The bruins have been in decline ever since they started playing more games dating back to when they played 5 games in 7 days. So, the schedule favours us now.

I really don't understand why Buffalo is so bad this season... They have size and skill, I guess they just don't have enough speed.

Look at their top-6 centers and their defence.

yup. He singlehanded sunk us last game (and most games).

I hope we at least get one entertaining Marchand quote and Miller quote.

Actually, it's part of the tactic. When someone is struggling against you in a way where they will evade your strength, the trick is to start calling them "cheap" or "cowards". To goad them into coming where right you want them.

It's David Vs Goliath. Guerilla vs. Standing Army. The eternal underdog story.
