Flyers announce Max Talbot is out indefinitely with a broken left leg. His season is likely over.

All because of that lousy breakaway goal as the powerplay expired.

So seriously, who slots in? Move Schenn back to C and put McGinn at wing? Call up Holmstrom? What gives?

Um, okay.

Poor Max; he had been playing well in the last 15 games or so.

Agreed, especially with Fleury in net, getting in his head almost means a guaranteed win.

Of all the possibilities ( torn Achilles , torn knee ligaments) this is by far the best one.

We are going to miss him big time.

that does suck. Talbot brings things to the ice that dont always show up on the scoresheet. he will be missed on the ice and in the room.

Yeah, he was really good these past few games, and I think he's going to be hard to replace. McGinn has shown he can play, but Max was awesome on the penalty kill, as well. Things are definitely not going to be the same with him being replaced by someone like McGinn or Zolnierczyk. Harry can bring the energy, but I'm not sure his banging of bodies is anywhere near as effective as what Max was doing.

im not a fan of Harry Z. Harry Z, is horrible defensively. I would stick McGinn in there and see what he can do.

Talbot and that poor kid in the NCAA tourney from Louisville both suffer terrible leg breaks during routine plays.

Just a brutal year. Here's hoping Max gets well. One of the good guys.
