I figured the Bruins would get at least 3 points this weekend. They only got 2, so it's still a good result for us in the end.

Not sure if this is the right thread but whatever? How bad was Campoli last year? How the hell is he not playing in the NHL? I'm not even a fan, it just seems incredible that a 28 year old guy with 440 games under his belt is suddenly not good enough to get a contact.

Maybe the same will happen to Clowe and Giordano.

Buffalo needed to win last night to have any hope of fighting for a playoff spot. They're done now. Three points out, and they've played the most games among the teams they are trying to catch. Too bad. It would've been cool to have all 5 NE teams in the playoffs. The Rags are sucking so bad over the last 10 games that a whole bunch of teams got back into it just by playing .500 hockey.

Rumour on the trade board is that the Flyers are getting Clowe.

And then was a key factor in a ridiculous lockout. The Chris Campoli effect for a few months was something else.

Oh and Traverse remains the worst d-man in Habs history by far.

It makes sense if you consider they lost Talbot for the year and are 2 points behind the rags for 8th.

Doesn't make sense when you look at their defense, doubt they give up assets for Clowe before addressing their ****** defense.

Well, that's their problem. If they can't win games, might as well fight a lot to please the Philly crowd.

Plus Clowe is strictly an offense-only forward. He's gritty yes but he's not an effective defensive player. If there idea is to replace a great grinder like Talbot with a slow power forward, they get even worse defensively.

When it comes to Philly, does anything they do really surprise you? Bryz, Carter, Richards etc...

I wouldn't be surprised in the least, especially given the loss to Talbot and the need to replace him in the lineup.

It's not to say they won't address their D, but now they're short up front as well.

Not like Smid had a choice to accept that after his weird comments yesterday.

Smid getting less than Gorges gets is hurting the Habs fan that I am.
