apparently wilson has allowed teams in the mix, to talk to clowe and his agent about an extension before the trade happens.

He has a good wrist shot and can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the league in a fight. Basically a heavweight enforcer who also happens to be a very good (offensively) top-6 forward. He's having a bad season due to injuries, he has not lost a step or anything from what I've seen.
You mean kinda like Bob Probert in late 80s/early 90s?

Philly is loaded with quality forwards. Forget Giroux, Voracek, Schenn, Couturier, and almost certainly Simmonds. That said, Read (and to a lesser degree) Laughton would be solid pick-ups. Also, I could see Philly moving their first (maybe top 5-10 protected) for a signed Clowe. They're only 2 points out of 8th. That's probably the highest first will see offered.

::sigh:: Probie was one of my favorites. Not many pot 29 goals and 398 PIMs in the same season. Too bad he couldn't stay off the drugs.

There are rumblings that the Pens might be inquiring about Handzus:

Don't be greedy. If anyone's willing to put up a 7th rounder for Handzus, we take it and like it. lol

Yes, we could only wish. Or, add Burish into any deal along with Clowe.

Truly hoping we have someone coming in as I really would like to see Burish out of here. If and when Clowe is dealt, my fear is that Burish returns full time.
