Great news, glad he signed. It will be tough to break him in though. I would imagine 4th line duties would be the start, hopefully with Aucoin not Reasoner till they can evaluate his spot.

He'll probably have to start out on the 4th line to be honest.

And Finley is on IR, retroactive March 22. Does anyone know what kind of injury he has?

Probably an "on his body" injury. Maybe he can't find his feet.

Anyway, great news about Lee!

Lol yeah, that was the reason for my question... Because obviously I'm not that familiar with how the system works, but I find it kind of strange that it is so easy to do these kind of moves.

Can be two, see lots of older college players get them.

What I don't like is that he burns one of the two years this year. What I love is that he's signed. I truly didn't think he would.

awesome really looking forward to seeing him play... gives us some more flexibility... will he be with aucoin and grabner, with reasoner to the bench... like want to see the martin/cizikas/mcdonald and frans/ko/bailey stay together as long as bailey is good to go... of course most of us want to see boyes moved off the line or even better off the team for a pick but would believe that when i see it..

nice to wake up and hear good news on lee and pedal(although not confirmed last i saw)...

Lets remember Lee had some leverage here. Does the fact he signed an entry level deal mean he's an RFA after next season?

If burning a year early is the cost to sign him, I'll take it. One of the better players in college and we couldn't afford to lose him for nothing. Well done Snow.

This, plus he is still an RFA after the deal anyway, so the Isles will control his rights.

Yes, he will have RFA years. It's really nothing to worry about, bottom line is that he's signed.

Strome, Lee only burn 1st year of ELC playing 6 NHL games. #Isles have 13 remaining.
I wonder if the Islanders have some sort of handshake deal with Lee to get him those six NHL games this year? Lee could have easily gone to FA, so I think that is a very strong possibility.

Terrific news.

I sweated over this, expecting Lee would pull a Justin Schultz on the isles. I'm so glad to be wrong.

Awesome, can't wait to see this kid wearing the blue and orange. Hopefully Cappy puts him in a position to succeed.

He wore number 27 in Green Bay of the USHL, I figured he would take that one. Obviously he wasn't getting #9 his number at UND.
