Some lame winger who can't even score 20 goals in QMJHL. That kid looks he's one good punch to the jaw away from retirement. Then again, he is 18.

4g 3a in 4 playoff games. He's the next Sean Bergenheim.

Players like Bergenheim are lazy, not really talented. Precisely the kind of player who plays well during the playoffs, because that is when he tries.

I get the feeling that the team he was on has been exceptionally crappy. Especially in terms of management. So I'm not going to hold much against him until/if he gets to Worcester.

They traded 'up' to get Lalancette because he does everything very well, skating offense, defense, hockey IQ, leadership, etc.

He's playing on a not very good Titans team and he does need to gain quite a bit of strength, which he certainly has time to do. He could (COULD!) end up being a great value pick at 109th.

Thanks for the info. Just don't recall hearing his name around here and it seemed weird to move up that late in the draft by giving up what is usually our 2nd best round pick in a 7th

I think the reason is because the team he's on isn't in the best shape. If you go to the QMJHL boards, I think there's one thread about them and it's about how bad the team is financially and all that. If you want to take a look, it's the thread below

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1297029

Also sounds like he got a concussion along the way.

Thanks. I skimmed it. Hopefully the situation is not hurting him long term.

Lalancette is one of the best 18 years old hockey players who play for a team
with a worst hockey management in the qmjhl.
one of the best prospect in the sharks summer camp and he will play for drummondville voltigeurs next season in the Q.
He have a not a terific season but his stats is better than our second rounder tierney
not that bad imo and Gilles coté said he as been dominant in playoff.
Time will tell but very good pick at 109

Well, I don't know much of anything about Lalancette and I've never seen him play, but I do know that Tierney is used as a shutdown center, which significantly impacts his offensive output.

I'd love to hear more about Lalancette's situation and deployment if you happened to know.

Just a little warning incase someone wants to watch Hertl's game. There was time switch to summer time in Czech republic this Sunday, so Slavia's game starts in 3 minutes.

Ah, shoot, I'm very late. Did Hertl score by any chance?

Now it's 3:2 for Slavia in the end of the 2nd period. Hertl scored in the 1st from the rebound.

Second Hertl's goal. He's playing very well right now, really has the Jagr-esque ability to skate with a defender on his back & get himself or his teammate into a scoring position.
