Cashman is a joke. It's amazing how many people haven't figured it out yet.

I dont mind Ichiro. He did well here in short stint last season. Probably ends up hitting around .300 while being a threath on basepaths. Also brings it defensively even though he's lost a step or 2.

Wells on the other hand should be taken out back and shot.

I've defended Cashman in the past but he dropped the ball on this one. It's a move that reeks of desperation.

Wells is only being paid 2m by the Yankees I heard. Either way...

So we go cheap with Martin and get outbid by Pirates and then proceed to pay up for Vernon Wells. Great asset management. Stewart/Cervelli is the worst catching duo in majors. Cubbies and White Sox pairs would probably give them a run for their money.
I'm still pissed at this trade. The Yanks had good pitching last year but their offense stunk to high heavens in the playoffs. I swear if Pineda doesn't succeed here, Cashman better watch his back

Hey guys, if you do fantasy, go grab Yasiel Puig right now, if he's available. Trust me... I'm a Dodger fan..and we are all drooling over this guy.

I'm still not sold on Ichiro, don't like that he doesn't draw any walks. Worried about the small sample size he had here, considering he looked done for his last 1 and 1/2 years in Seattle. Obviously hope I am very wrong.

Might be a smart grab in fantasy, but it's still small sample sizes against ST competition.

Watched the Yankees AAA team plus Phelps, Gardner, and Nunez absolutely dismantle the full Orioles team last night in Spring Training. Perhaps there is hope after all

Domingo Tapia. He has great potential and raw ability, but he's going to be in A ball this year. In way over his head.

Yes, that was impressive watching that AAAA team score six runs off a AA pitcher.

Scoring runs will be a problem until Granderson and Tex and later on A-Rod come back. If healthy the pitching will keep us in games.

That sucks. 04-06 Johan was 1 of the best stretches by a pitcher I've ever seen.

I feel bad for the guy, but I'm not by any means surprised. I was going into this year expecting no contribution from him whatsoever.

The only disappointing part of this is that now there's zero chance of moving him. I was hoping he'd at least show flashes of his former self, and we could flip him for a B prospect.

Well it's Opening Day, expecting nothing for either the Yankees or Mets.

I think both teams have good pitching and good coaches. Two extremely valuable assets to have in baseball. Both play in two tough divisions, hoping for Wild cards this year.

I love watching Niese pitch. When he drops the hammer curve it's just nasty.
