Apparently Stars turned down 2 No. 2s from a team for Jagr & won't deal unless blown away. Very unlikely he returns to #Flyers this year.
I'd see trading a player like Jagr as having paid $4.5MM for two 2nds and receieved his production to your team for most of the season as a bonus.

How much would you pay for two 2nd round picks in the 2013 draft?

Based on this completely reliable chart, I think we need to trade everyone:

Goes to the net and has enough offense to provide secondary scoring. And he's a great fighter.

I don't want to overpay for him, but I definitely want him on my team.
exactly...well said....i concur

I know I've been gone for a bit but I don't know what is the obsession about Bordeleau.

Jagr's playing great hockey this year and is the most proven playoff commodity on the market. I don't necessarily want us to go after him but I figured his value would be at least that, certainly more if teams start to get desperate.

It's almost as bad as the obsession with O'Byrne.

I'd look at this, but would remove the pick. Haven't seen O'Byrne much, but he's the type of D they need for the playoffs. He'd presumably be of more use than Weber who is healthy scratched, but I haven't seen him play to offer a better opinion.

Boring trade deadline.

When Clowe a guy with no goals, is the best player available. It sucks.

I haven't been this entertained for years
Nothing better than die hard Habs fans deciding what their team needs most...
Add in the trade rumour speculations LeBrun says this Dreger says that etc...
This is great...
Personally I think we need a top 6 forward and a top 4 D.
We ain't getting them this year
I'm not believing any rumour I hear until Aaron Ward chimes in...
Just a word for Ryan..."Iggy did it"

Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline 2m Montreal has had interest in D David Savard for a while now. John Moore being a frequent scratch gets ya thinking, too.

Anyone know anything about D Savard from the CBJ's? Never heard of him before this tweet.

Savard is a 6'2'' defenceman who shoots right: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p...php?pid=106685

I got that from TSN:
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?id=7472

Says he's in the minors now. I wonder what's with all the love from MB if that's really the case. I mean is he physical, offensive, defensive, mobile, good passer? Enquiring minds want to know!

Rumblings on the Stars board was that the Jagr offer came from Montreal, given your multitude of 2nd round picks in the draft. Also factor in the whole Pleks/Jagr situation, and it kind of makes sense.

To be honest I'm hoping Dallas re-signs him, because he's been the best part of this season for me as a Stars fan.

Will certainly understand if he gets moved, though, and if Montreal ups their offer and lands him anyways, I'll wish him all the best for you guys.

Weber for O'Byrne might be interesting. Avalanche use forwards on the point for PPs if I'm not mistaken. I rather have O'Byrne as the #7 than Weber. He might even be effective at the #6 with Boullion.
