Anders Lee is finally in the fold for the Isles. Now it's time to see what all the fuss is about. Definitely excited, big forwards who can score don't grow on trees.

Kid's actually pretty decent, slim chance to be a star NHL goaler, but won't be surprised if he puts up a solid pro career

and didnt he sign his ELC with the Leafs, why does he need an ATO with the marlies?

EDIT: Either way, it is true!

Most of the deals after March 1st, especially for players coming from the CHL don't kick in until next year, so for players to play AHL hockey this year they need to be on an ATO.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Tanner Richard to a three-year, entry-level contract, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Richard, 19, has skated in 52 games this season with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League, recording 11 goals and 62 points to go along with 94 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 183-pound forward ranks first on the Storm and ninth in the OHL in assists with 51 and was third on his team with a plus-18 rating. Richard also played in five postseason games against the Kitchener Rangers, registering three assists and six penalty minutes.

Richard was originally drafted by the Lightning in the third round, 71st overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Not a reliable source, but Bo Horvat just tweeted that his London Knight teammate D Tommy Hughes (undrafted) has signed with the New York Rangers. For those who don't know him, he's a reliable shutdown defenseman

The biggest problem with these tweets is sometimes a teammate will congratulate another teammate on signing a deal with a team, only for it to come out that it's an AHL deal. Still, it's something to keep an eye on.

The Lightning have signed D Luke Witkowski to a 2-year contract today. He co-captained the Western Michigan Broncos this past season.
Witkowski, 22, was a 6th round pick, 160th overall of Tampa in the 2008 NHL Draft.

Hey, his last name ends up 'kowski', after the selection of Jankowski, the initial Iginla trade for Bartkowski, and the eventual Iginla trade for Hanowski, any chance Witkowski gets dealt for a Flame? Here's your chance to be an insider, folks, you heard it here first!

I'm sure a deal could be made if the 1st round pick in 2013 is still in play. He seems to have everything Uncle Feaster and Weezer are looking for in a player - including the fact he's an NCAA grad and not one of those evil WHL players.

He's a Feaster (and then staff) pick.

But I'm inclined to hold on to him. No way, Cheeto Jay!

I am happy the Islanders signed Lee, I was scared he would use the same loophole Schultz used last year(I am guessing their would be a few teams willing to take a chance on his combination of size and skill)
