Do you actually believe that Clowe's stats are reflective of his talent level and what he would bring to a playoff contender?

You realize he would have the 3rd most assists of any forward on this team

Has about as many shots on goal as Raymond (which off of a regular NHL shooting % would leave him with about 7-8 goals).

He is ignoring that, I think pool hates clowe even tho clowe was maybe the best sharks playoff performer nearly every year.

Yeah, I really don't see him coming here. Outside of a size increase (which this team still needs) the fit just doesn't really seem right. That and not sure what we would give up I'd be willing to actually give up. From a fan aspect anyways. I wouldn't be against it. Just don't see it happening.

Clowe is effing terrible. If Gillis actually trades anything of worth for him I'm gonna be pissed

Raymond is twice the player Clowe is now. There's no way that happens.

he also put up 62 points in 75 games that year. he has yet to score a goal in 28 games this year. He is clearly not the same player right now, from injury or whatever and there is no garantee that he ever comes back.

I dont hate him, I just know he is not a good player right now because he is ****ed up from injuries or something.. we already have a ? like that with Kesler.

So do you think his lack of goals are ability based or percentage based?

Bless you.

One thing that I guarantee has not deteriorated is his shot. So his shooting 0% has nothing to do with talent level.

Just heard on TV from Renaud Lavoie (RDS) that both Habs and Boston are getting lower in the list of potential future teams for Clowe...

It's probably because of injuries so why are we trading for an injured player that is not at his best and can't buy a goal?

Because he's looked 100% better the past few games and has resembled the Clowe of old. His stat line still says 0 goals but he's looked great since his return.

Same idea as when Kulemin potted 30 goals, and then 7 the next year.

Its just a matter of %'s.

I guess we'll get a preview tonight. Maybe he will try to impress.

Exactly. Some people just don't understand this... Just like Kulemin is more of a 15-20 goal true talent., Clowe's play cannot be summed up by his goal totals. Look at his shot totals, it's much more indicative. Clowe still gets shots off at a top-6 rate. If he were shooting at his career average, he'd be on a 20+ goal pace.
