Columbus allowed Howson to make the Nash move before they fired him, and I think that was much more significant. Not out of the question.

Is that hartnell trade a joke? Why are no insiders tweeting it?

So, if I'm Pominville and don't want to be traded, my list would include the top 8 contenders in the league.

Whats wrong with trading 2? If you think keeping ONE player from the old core is a problem it's not

Or teams scouting buffalo/rumours.
I'd have LA, boston, detroit, CBJ and whoever else is scouting us on the list. CBJ just because I wouldnt want to go there

my comment did not translate apparently...

I'd be ****ing ecstatic if we trade Poms and Miller.

My comment was more along the lines of:
these reports on NTCs, are leading me down the "too good to be true" path

That's risky as he could end up on some bubble team that he might not want to go to.

True, but if he doesn't want to go anywhere I'd roll the dice if I was him. If he gets traded to a bubble team, he is only a year from UFA anyway.

Ohh ya I see now, I read it as being dissapointed if they only trade 2. Agree with your original post now

i generally don't scout the net for rumors.... i barely even exist on twitter... i figure anything will be posted here within minutes...

with that said... i just traveled to the site that shall not be named, for the first time in years. I even read that nitwit who reports on the Sabres over there.

I need a shower

I don't think Stafford will fetch much so a defensive prospect who is expendable to his team but still has upside plus a draft pick seems like decent return.

If we do end up trading 2 of the big 3, don't you think we would be trying to follow the Edmonton model? We're already at no playoffs in 2 years, if we do end up trading 2/3 we wouldn't be looking at playoffs for another 3-4 years. I would easily take 8th place finish to get a chance to watch my team in the playoffs. (Even if 1st or 2nd round exit) A losing team is unattractive to potential FA and just paints a general bad aura over our city. (IE. Bills) I just hope we don't end up not making the playoffs for 5,6,7,8 years like the Oilers/Leafs.

I think we currently our only a top 4 D and third line center away from being an 8th place team, obviously if we sell off we're a lot further away but we have a good young core and lots of money so I dont think we'll have to big of a playoff drought

I can't handle a Vanek trade. He is my favorite player of all-time and I need him to remain a Sabre. Forever.

I don't understand how grown men can get so attached to other grown men who are total strangers.

Unless some of our posters are actually like 13.
