My head says he's back soon (too many circumstantial signs pointing to that). My heart, which broke from 2011 to 2012, says he's dead.

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic, especially after that latest Yohe tweet. I don't value his word too much, but it's positive to see anyway.

It's expected, though. He still needs more heavy dental work. They weren't going to send him home before then.

If they're planning on doing more work on his teeth today or tomorrow, its not surprising he's just hanging out there.

There's plenty of reasons he could be hanging around the hospital. Observation to ensure against concussion, better able to manage pain and his nutrition, we know he's scheduled for more oral surgery. I'm not reading too much into the fact that he hasn't been discharged.

He's getting adamantium in all his bones. That would be amazing.

I would not be overly concerned. Let me spin a scenario that is not only possible, but likely.

Sid had a minor (not needing wired) either hairline or otherwise not serious facture to his jaw and lost say three teeth.

To fix even a hairline fracture of the jaw I am fairly certain that you need to stabilize the jaw with screws and/or plates. I do not know about you but someone cutting into my face, and drilling holes into my jaw sounds like it would be traumatic. You might want to let the body recover from that before you start yanking the stubs of teeth out and putting in replacements. Hell, it takes the labs a week to even make replacements that will be customized to fit your mouth.

Now your Crosby. You just had major surgery and will have to come back in four or five days for more. If they just let you stay there to recover would you do it? And you are the Pens. You have a hundred million invested in this kid. Infection is always an issue. Where do you want Crosby between operations?

Make sense?

Crosby's probably just playing video games with sick kids.

Considering the accuracy of his defensemen... he might need that!

Well, Talbot did just break his leg yesterday. Maybe Sid decided to hang around so him and Max could play a few games of Call of Duty like old times.

The King will be alright. We're still a month out from any post-season action. Lot's of time.

Meanwhile, Geno goes into ****ing beast mode (and gets Iggy going) in time for the playoffs.

@RenLavoieRDS: If no setback, Sidney Crosby should be back home in the next 24 hours. #penguins #RDS

Sorry I'm a teenager on spring break. What better is there to do than to continually refresh twitter?

And as far as a setback, Concussion symptoms could be considered a setback. Hopefully if he hasn't already had them he won't though.
