We'd be looking at Pominville or Stafford. As a side, our scouts are following the Sabres as of late.

Don't really want to trade Burmistrov, and the Jets are not in a position that they need to deal him either so I can't see them trading him just for the sake of trading him.

Also, can't see the team dealing a 20 year old former 7th overall pick for soon to be UFA's or vets without term on their contracts.

A change of scenery or hockey deal involving young players / picks would be my preference (if a deal is made).

Otherwise I would rather just keep Burmistrov. He's already very good defensively and great on the PK.

Roy+Winther for Burmistrov+3rd

Jets get a legit 2nd line center and a young WHL winger, Dallas gets a 2nd line center and a pick.

Rather not the main piece be a soon to be UFA.

Take out Roy + Winther and add in Eriksson and you're good.

I am afraid to take a risk on trading Hainsey becaise then our top 4 is to shaky until Trouba is here.
Wouldnt mind Horton for Burmi but the risk of him not re signing scares me two much. Burmi for Horton and a 2nd?

Would love to have Burmi on the Wings considering he has a connection to Pavel and that they are weak down the middle looking towards the future.

What would it take from a Wings POV? They have an overstock of bottom 6 role guys, and plenty of winger and D prospects.

Just spit-balling here; maybe something like Nyquist +4th? Could thrown in Cleary for a half empty gatorade.

Ritchie/Chiasson + Glennie + 2nd for Burmistrov + Klingberg.

A big, RW scoring prospect, a reclamation prospect who may simply need a change of scenery, and a 2nd for a guy who simply doesn't have much of a future in Winnipeg and another reclamation project (I only want him because we have his brother).

If you want Roy as a stopgap too, take him.

I think Chevy would definitely consider it.

Ritchie + Glennie + 2nd I would think long and hard about. Chevy would probably do it considering the obsession with size management has.

Probably roster RW players. Any interest in trading Franzen?

We're stacked at LW (Ladd, Kane)so Nyquist doesn't really float our boat. All we have on the right side is Wheeler, and he's a setup guy. Behind him it's Miettenen, Wellwood, and Thorburn for a combined total of 5 goals. We need scoring from the RW badly. Someone that can gel with Evander Kane.

LHD prospects would be nice as well.

Just because Lawless is a blowhard and writes dumb articles doesn't mean he's not connected. It's been pretty well established that he's built a level of trust with TNSE/Jets front office, and given his level of involvement with TSN, probably has connections there as well.

Re: Hainsey, there was some buzz that the Blues had interest.

What do you suppose a package of Hainsey + Klingberg could net from St. Louis? I might be tempted to go with a package of Hainsey + Burmistrov, but the return would have to be a first rounder and a top 9 F (Sobotka?).

Not really interested in Nyquist. I'd do Burmistrov for Smith though i think he could step in and take play Hainsy's minutes as soon as next year.
