The jets are dumb. Either way that's who I hope we end up with.

I have said since before the combine Olgetree isn't making it to 20. Even when in early mocks he was late first I said it. This kid is the best ILB in this draft bar none and will be top 15 for sure.

I don't think there's a big difference between him and the "second tier" LBs. At least not with Arthur Brown.

Emery is a ****ing GM god. He sees the holes, he fills them as good as he can and he sets a price the players are worth and if they don't accept his price, they will not sign and play for us.

If that means no Urlacher - who's done - or Louis who comes off a serious injury than fine.

Slauson fits right in well with the players Trestman wants to use as Guards.

Can we trade Bowman to the Bears for Emery?

Raiders get Flynn for 2 draft picks, speculated to be a late pick in 2014 and 2015.

Also sounds like Palmer is going to find his way to Arizona, one way or another.

And Kevin Kolb signed by the Bills. Both of these are bad news for the Bears. Unlikely the Raiders or Bills take a QB in the top 10 now.

Surprised Kolb got like 13M over 2 years.

And yeah, that really sucks.

I disagree.

I still think it's highly likely the Bills draft a QB in the first. The Raiders, on the other hand, IMO were never going to draft a QB in the first. Their #1 goal is to trade down and acquire more picks. I think this helps because now there is a flashing sign over their pick saying "Will accept a trade-down to allow you to move here and draft Geno Smith"

I'm still expecting a QB run, from both the Bills and Arizona in the 1st.

I think the Bills will take Nassib in the 2nd.

I think a lot of teams WANT to take those QBs in the 2nd. But I see them taking them in the first. Once one goes off the board, panic will start to set in, and these teams like Buffalo and Arizona who aren't at the top of the 2nd round will need to make their moves. I think Nassib is one who will surprise a lot of people and go in the first. There are a couple other late climbers I'm reading about, and Barkley will go as well. I just don't see everyone standing pat and doing the smart thing by waiting till the second. I think we will still see 3 QBs get picked before the Bears go at #20. In fact, 3 is where I'd set that over/under.

Look at this round 2 mock:

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2013_2.php

This is exactly why I don't think that QB run will wait till the second. Look where all those QB-needy teams pick. There's no guarantee that the QB Buffalo really wants will be there when it's their turn. Same with Arizona (although they MAY be happy with Carson for a year, they know he's not their long-term answer). Jacksonville is the only team in the 2nd round driver's seat. To me, that means once Geno Smith goes off the board, those other teams need to think long and hard about their 1st round choice. Some folks are saying Nassib and EJ Manuel are quickly climbing draft boards. Teams reach for QBs in the first....

@caplannfl: Titans announced that they agreed to one- year deals with WR Kevin Walter and C/G Chris Spencer. (cont) http://tl.gd/lf46ve

Spencer to the Titans. While I personally never believed the Titans would go Warmack/Cooper in the first, I think this decreases the chance of that happening even more. I think we all know Spencer isn't a long term answer for them, but I do think it affords them the luxury to wait until the 2nd round to take the Guard of their choice.

Now we just have to worry about the Jets and the Cowboys. Personally, I think the Jet's go QB or NT.

I'm hoping they go Barkley. I'd like to continue to despise the Jets.

It's a good thing.

Cowboys almost certainly go interior oline.

I think they are a good candidate to do so, but I think there's just as good of a chance they go defense. Don't forget, they brought in Monte Kiffin and Rod Marinelli and are switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3 Defense. They can't simply "re-task" all their players. It does require people with different skillsets. They will have a big need on the D-Line to make that work well this season, and that screams 1st round pick. I think they will address Guard/Line in the 2nd.

Spaced on that. I still don't think they pass on Cooper/Warmack unless there's an equally talented player like Floyd who falls.

Titans paid for Levitre and now signed Spencer as Free Agents... they will not use their pick on a Guard nor should they

Agreed, but I also ask, is it safe to say "same team does not equal same results" doesn't apply to football?
