Calgary's 2nd round pick and Greg Pateryn/Patrick Holland?
While McBain is playing bad, I don't think we can afford to trade him for futures. But who knows, if the Habs win tonight, we could be sellers at the deadline. The value is probably right if we're sellers though.
Big 6'4 b@stard. 3rd round pick (I think) who's worked his way up through the system. Plays a physical, defence first game. He's young (24) and has looked rock solid in some pairing (e.g. with Methot), but has had some down games with others (e.g. Phillips).
I'm not sure that I'd be looking to swap him for McBain - we have a more of a need for his physicality than we do more puck moving. Don't get me wrong, McBain would fit nicely with MacLean's system, just not sure where this gets the Sens.
Big, strong, stay at home D. Has come a very long way this year. Likes to shoot, maybe more than he should. Skating isn't a strength by any means, but he manages. He has played a top 4 role most of this year. He has played 19+ mins every game besides his 1st, 20+ mins all but 4 games total, and he has 6 games with over 23 mins. He generally handles them well. Will he ever be anything more than a solid #4? No. But he will certainly be a fantastic #5 DMan for a long time.
