I have really no clue how much he is worth honestly ? Can a hurricanes fan tell me his value and what you would want from Montreal?

He would be a healthy scratch for Montreal considering how bad he's playing and how much better your D is than ours. I'd take any of your d-men over him, makes no sense to trade for him.

....No.

If we trade McBain, it's for another roster player. Trading him for picks/prospects (ie just getting rid of him) would be horrible mismanagement.

While McBain is playing bad, I don't think we can afford to trade him for futures. But who knows, if the Habs win tonight, we could be sellers at the deadline. The value is probably right if we're sellers though.

The temperature just went up dramatically in McBain's stall with MAB's acquisition by the Canes today.

Zero chance of Tanev moving. He's better than McBain ffs.

What would you want from Ottawa? A defensive defenceman? Maybe Gryba or Borowiecki + a 3rd or a prospect?

Doug Wilson just got himself another 2nd, and he loves trading with Carolina. Not sure why, as the Sharks have lots of defensive depth. But it is the sort of bone-headed move DW would make.

Big 6'4 b@stard. 3rd round pick (I think) who's worked his way up through the system. Plays a physical, defence first game. He's young (24) and has looked rock solid in some pairing (e.g. with Methot), but has had some down games with others (e.g. Phillips).

I'm not sure that I'd be looking to swap him for McBain - we have a more of a need for his physicality than we do more puck moving. Don't get me wrong, McBain would fit nicely with MacLean's system, just not sure where this gets the Sens.

Are you crazy? McBain has a lot of value. He's not that bad after all.

Late 3rd round pick and AHL midget for young and cheap #4 dman with good offensive touch?

He's not going to Canucks for sure without Tanev or Raymond coming back. Go away.

Detroit should be all over this, Just curious what Jim Rutherford would want for McBain.

Big, strong, stay at home D. Has come a very long way this year. Likes to shoot, maybe more than he should. Skating isn't a strength by any means, but he manages. He has played a top 4 role most of this year. He has played 19+ mins every game besides his 1st, 20+ mins all but 4 games total, and he has 6 games with over 23 mins. He generally handles them well. Will he ever be anything more than a solid #4? No. But he will certainly be a fantastic #5 DMan for a long time.
