Didn't he hire like 3-4 guys just to work with prospects? (Brisebois, etc)? Seems like he wants to make sure we develop our kids instead of just wasting them like we've been doing.

Any word on Nygren? I thought they were going to be signing him. Last I heard he won the Salming award. I really see him being big for us.

He's still in playoffs.

He can be brought around the team but not used since he doesn't have an ELC for this season...

Collberg did say in that article he currently has an injury. So it's possible he'll wait for it to be healed before joining the Dogs.

Edit: He didn't ''say'' it per se, but it was hinted by the reporter: http://www.habsfuture.com/2013/04/se...sh-season.html

I love it!!! Even if things don't workout as we expect this year, we're going to have one HELL of a farm team next year! Not a fan of Lefebvre the coach, but this situation would be a wet dream fo any coach in the AHL. Add LeBlanc to the picture as well Maybe they will let him play center too One can only hope.

Kristo, Hudon nor Collberg can come up to the Habs. I'm pretty sure none of them have signed yet. They need NHL deals. It'd be nice to have one or more of them signed for playoff call up in emergencies. Mind you, if it came to that we'd likely be in some really bad shape.

What is so wonderful is to have these 3 talents in the system.

I've been following the Habs longer than almost all of you, and I can honestly say I've never seen such long-term vision by any previous GM. This is Sam Pollock for the salary-cap era. Instead of aiming for superstar homeruns, Bergevin is methodically building a lead on the opposition one base hit at a time, resisting the urge to swing away. The Habs are loading the bases and currently have no outs. And because we have so much cap space, we can even afford a great pinch-hitter, if one is available.

Someone I can call old man

You are right, Bergevin is shaping up to be somewhere between Savard and Pollack....................... only time will tell.

Ah... that was a good age...

Seriously, I started watching in the late 60s. First hockey memories included Beliveau, Savard, Worsley, Duff, Richard, Laperriere, etc.

Show some respect, whippersnapper!

But yeah, it's really nice to have someone in charge who appears to be ahead of the curve instead of reacting to everyone else's turns.
