Excellent and bang on.

The [DROPS MICROPHONE] note fits perfectly

Pegula is a dream owner, and we are very fortunate to have him.

Well, sure, you got that degree from a reputable school... but why haven't I seen recommendation letters from your advisor and department chair?

When the News went after Pegula for not commenting on the Sandusky scandal, he talked to TSN. I suspect if he wants to talk to a media outlet, the Buffalo Community News won't be his first choice.

The sensationalist tactics are pathetic. Making quotes up and not fessing up to generate a story? Acting indignant on behalf of the fans when the owner doesn't provide additional sound bites despite no precedent existing?

It's just weak. More journalism, less tabloid-tactics, please.

Come on Doak! Send it in!

How about tweeting the link to the first page of this thread to Bill Hoppe, BSN and add hashtag #sabres.

It'll get some traction if the letter sees the light of day.

(And as a bonus, I'll RT this to my tens of followers )

He acts indignant on behalf of the fans and then acts indignant toward fans who point out where he's incorrect. Seems he's just indignant. Tabloid indeed.

I suggest anyone who feels this way should send Pegula a short note, I'm not joking. Hand-written or typed with a real signature -- means way more. If you don't think Pegula, can be impacted by media, you are wrong. He's a billionaire but human. He's the best thing for Sabres -- my G-d he's willing to lose his money on this team. Tell him what he means to fans. Don't let Buffalo News run him down.

I will never understand how a hockey-crazed city like Buffalo has the most incompetent hockey reporters.

One word: union.

The Buff News writers have cushy jobs with security and great benefits. And most of the big name guys (Harrington, Sullivan, maybe Gleason) have no reason to put in an extra effort to open up new opportunities for themselves.

Sounds like some of the Sabres teams of years past.

If memory serves, Sullivan-I think-took a buyout offer from the paper and is now a part timer. Buyouts have been happening left, right and center at the News in recent years.

Really now...If you have 2 followers -- yes, 2 -- and you're gonna start questioning me, you can't seriously expect me to listen.

Everyone on here who complains about that idiot needs to unfollow him on twitter. Do it now. I just did.

He acts like people are worthless if they don't have a journalism degree and have less twitter followers than him.

Shouldn't that be really embarrassing? Your opinion about sports is invalid because of the amount of Twitter followers you have? Did he pick this logic up from a 16 year old?

It's not like you don't have time to consider if what you're saying is intelligent enough to be broadcast before you hit "Enter." Guy's vacant.
