While I still dislike Gauthier he's better than Normand Flynn. That guy thinks he knows everything about prospects, last week he said that the Islanders were dumb for not playing Strome and Reinhart in the NHL.

Dennis Gauthier sucks. Dirty player, one of the worst players in the league when he played and the media whined when we didn't try signing him.

That's because he kept crying when he first came to the set, saying that we were dumb because we signed Gill instead of him. Gill is just a better defender.

L'Antichambre saying that the Habs should try to go for Jason Pominville. Thoughts?

Edit: Denis Gauthier is ready to trade Beaulieu for Pominville.

I will say this about Gauthier, he seems too desperate at times.

As if he wants to get his point across so bad that he ends up trying too hard and over-talking.

Maybe it's the nerves. The camera can be imposing.

5.3 million caphit would have him as our most expensive forward capwise, wouldn't it? Not sure pominville is that good a player. Like him, though. If sabres were gonna eat some cap, sure.

It's not that bad of an offer if Pominville had a longer contract.

He's a very good player.

$300K extra for Pominville over Gionta is peanuts for what he brings. Much better offensive player. He's basically a more offensive Gionta.. like to the tee. Better one on one, better shot, better passer, as responsible defensively. He'll miss just as many nets too.

Just noticed that that was Price's 300th game.

Crazy.

You know, I could actually see Gionta as a player that could(hopefully) be traded on deadline day.

I don't want to trade Beaulieu nor do I want to trade Tinordi. I've been saying this for years these two guys are going to help us win a cup and Beaulieu is underrated.

I don't really want to either, but it's not a bad offer in reality.

Pominville is a 60+ 1st line winger who is good defensively and that's not easy to come by either.

If he was signed for 4-years more, I'd honestly consider listening.

For a Beaulieu though? A player who could potentially take over Markov's spot on the PP in the future? Pominville's a very good player, don't get me wrong, he's burned us on a number of occasions, but that is quite the price.

Pominville is a very good player and I think if we wanted to we could get him without having to give up Beaulieu. I wasn't willing to part ways with our first round pick this year but if it's for pominville I'm all in.

Which is why I'm uncertain.

And to be fair, as much as I love Markov, he doesn't really do much on the PP anymore other than feed PK.

If they wanted one of our two d-men, as much as it would hurt, I'd probably let go of Tinordi.

I'd much rather give up Leblanc, 1st, 2nd for Pominville then lose Beaulieu or Tinordi.

But if someone offers you Pominville, you think long and hard. But because he's only signed for 1-more year, you have to really think hard because you can't throw away top prospects for 1-year of a guy.

Would you move Leblanc, 1st, 2nd for Pominville?

He basically needs shutout for people not to bash him. He should have had another tonight but Emelin decided to run him into the net

I gotta disagree. He deters the other team from cheating too much. Opponents respect his passing abilities and his snapshot. Don't forget his play against Boston during the dying seconds. That fake he made on the Bruins player allowed him to get his shot off towards the net. Little things like that are what makes Markov so dangerous on the PP.

Edit: Almost forgot, he scored a PP goal tonight!

Post Office is one of the funniest books ever. His 'poetry' is also a huge win too. Uncle Buk is great.

So um, does anyone think Galchenyuk should eventually sit a game or two?
