Cundari

Blues fan here...I know you guys are not to happy with the trade but Cundari will play in the NHL. He's a good little dman and it's just a matter of time before he gets his chance. I think he will pleasantly suprise you down the road.

What type of defenceman is Cundari?

Small, smart puck mover?
All grit and heart and plays bigger than his size?
Stay at home? Offencive/two way?

The Next Bobby Karlsson / Erik Orr?

He's 5.9.

Feaster couldn't even be bothered to mention him when discussing the trade. I'm not optimistic.

He's small yes but he's a puck mover and a decent one. There was just no room for him to play in St. Louis or ever get the chance. He plays much bigger than his size. He will play for the Flames, no doubt in my mind.

He gets knocked off the puck very ease from the few times I have seen him, maybe he pans out but I doubt it.

I've been watching him from years and his strength on the puck is one of the best parts of his game in my opinion. Despite being small, He is veryy strong.

Its possible I caught his poor games, but ones I saw he struggled to stay on his feet. If he is stronger on the puck than I have seen it makes the trade a little better.

Quite possible, His inconsistency is probably the biggest flaw at the moment IMO.

That would explain my poor viewings of him.

Yeah, without a doubt. When he is on his game there's flashes of brilliance though. Hard to be positive right now but him and Agostino both have the potential to be productive members of this team in the next 1-3 years.

Just read a quick article on him, I really like the sound of this kid, he said he prides himself in being feisty and in your face in the defensive zone, goes in to say he's a "nasty SOB" back there.

When you though that you were most likely dreaming. It's easy to play armchair GM.

That's fair, but I believe a fair amount of it is due to respect, or a lack thereof, of Feaster.

I have to really believe that Burke or Howson could have gotten better returns on Iginla and Bouwmeester.

Feaster is probably viewed as a Butterball turkey with a law degree who doesn't know enough about the game so he relies on his staff, as publicly stated.

That's in high contrast with Burke, a man who grew up living hockey and demanding respect from players, management, and his peers and gave the proper respect to others and lost his last job over trying to keep his integrity intact as it was rumoured he wasn't going to buckle under pressure and make a trade he thought was poor.

I'm fairly certain that Feaster gets underestimated very often within the management community.

However, with that being said, the returns would have been only marginally better I believe, but at the same time, better is better and Feaster got neither.

Beauty goal, finishing his checks, skates well... I know it's only been two periods (plus his a few great games in Abby), but he's looking good

Someone needs to tell him that playing like a vet will get him out of the lineup

Great shot for his first NHL goal. Looking forward to seeing more from him.

Think it's safe to say I'm feeling pretty good about the trade right now...

I'm not going to jump to that.
Want to see what we get with that first, and what Berra does in Calgary. Otherwise, the 1/3 from this trade so far I'm happy with.
Cundari looks like an NHL guy.
