Yep, the whole Atlant organization is as well run as any outside the NHL, from top to bottom.

add to the fact that Riga lost their leader Upītis to Dinamo, Gudļevskis wasn't at his best and probably due to only securing play-off spot at the last minute took away all mental reserves (the guys just celebrated making the play-offs )

But in any case realistically HK Riga could only dream of 1:3 in the series at best. Atlanty were unstoppable in the West.

So many passengers on this year's roster as well for Riga. Hopefully will see a brand new roster next year. Bar three or four kids there hardly was a prospect to keep an eye on during games. Hopefully we've seen the last of players like Straupe, Kurmis, Salija, but still there's a good chance that at least one or two of them will be carried around as long as possible.

I know they brought up more youths to the main team this season, but overall I think they kept some guys in MHL for too long. I think Kadeikin should've had a year in KHL by now despite his injuries.

Realistically there are only 12 F spots on the team on any given night, everyone can't simply make the roster.

I agree with you more or less, but ozo is right as well. I see problem of Atlant with not having VHL affiliate (Nurislamov and some foreigner were sent to RSL or whatever it is, 3rd tier). Like CSKA did not have in past. Since new season, Khimik should come back to VHL as Atlant´s farm.

I'm not saying everyone, but until recently it seemed like NO ONE from their team was getting any KHL time.

to be fair, last year was the first year when their team was decent enough.

well, the best of 97 played for 96 and some left to NA...

98 - 3rd place.

I am surprised that Kazan' with Sveshnikov/Lazarev got bounced early.

Forvard St. Petersburg joins MHL as, well, Dynamo St.Petersburg... Also Donbass basically joins as well, I can't see why they wouldn't be accepted after asking to join.

if Dynamo (Moscow) needed a second MHL team, St. Petersburg doesn't look like a best place, really. Unless they want the right of the "first night" with Forvard's prospects?
