Out of Factotum and Ham on Rye, I definitely liked Post Office best. Still need to read Women and Pulp. I'm interested in Pulp because of how polarizing it is. Sometimes those are the best books/albums/etc.

I've never read John Fante but he's supposed to be like proto-Bukowski. I need to give him a shot too.

We could potentially sign him for an extension during the summer. Strong winger with 30 goal potential, good leadership and only 30 years old. The fact that he's Quebecois is creaming on the cake.

He's not a FANTASTIC player, but he would be a great addition for the next 3 to 5 years. Could easily replace Gionta in term of leadership potential. Could certainly replace Gionta in term of goalscoring potential.

And to be fair, as much as I love Markov, he doesn't really do much on the PP anymore other than feed PK.

If they wanted one of our two d-men, as much as it would hurt, I'd probably let go of Tinordi.

I'd much rather give up Leblanc, 1st, 2nd for Pominville then lose Beaulieu or Tinordi.

But if someone offers you Pominville, you think long and hard. But because he's only signed for 1-more year, you have to really think hard because you can't throw away top prospects for 1-year of a guy.

Not really, Leblanc's value has pretty much taken a nosedive.

If we got Pominville we go from like no right handed shots at beginning of season to almost too many

Markov still is the #1 PP QB in the NHL today. Saying he's doesn't do much on the PP is wrong. PP was working really well before Subban arrived.
I think having both on one PP is great. Don't think anybody in the NHL has a duo that talented on their PP, maybe St.Lou but that's it.

I find it funny that in the off season all we heard is that we needed a big LH shot on the PP and Markov couldn't adapt to a righty and he is continuously feeding PK.

Have to give Gallant credit for adjustments, early in the year the Pp was lethal then struggled a bit, he put in a few wrinkles and added more movement to free up some shots. Now they are not as predictable, last night Carolina was on PK taking away his shot and Markov hammered one home.

We would probably need to get rid of Gio if we get Pominville, what a shame.

Replacing Gionta for Pominville is a slight improvement, potentially a lateral move as well. Gionta gets a lot of unwarranted flack around here. I understand that his shots from the perimeter can be annoying at times, but he still plays well, and he'll still get his 20-25Goals.

I wouldn't mind getting Pominville, I'd be really happy actually. Adding him to our current roster, along with Bourque returning, would give us some solid depth. If Eller goes from centering Galchenyuk-Prust, to Bourque-Pominville, it would really solidify our forward group. So ya, I'd love to get Jason here, but I wouldn't pay the price proposed here.

All the more reason why not to trade a prospect imo. However, Leblanc isn't really what I was referring too. I would part ways with him, but I wouldn't give him + 1st round pick + 2nd round. That's way too much.

Leblanc+2nd, that makes more sense.

He had his worst game of the season, imo. But no, I don't think we should think about scratching him. Therrien is being patient with him and doesn't put too much pressure on the kid, scratching him would send the wrong message. Also I believe they talk on a regular basis to see how he's doing, he's being taken care of.

Yeah, blame the lockout. We are having a better season then the last time we finished first int he east and it's dead out there.

It wasn't a knock on Gionta. I don't want to get rid of him, it's just that his contract expire next summer. If you have Pominville, you don't need to resign him, IMHO.

Habs PK already looking a lot better with Halpern, 10 for 11 since we got him.

The one PK goal we allowed was because of a stupid broken stick..

I would hate to give up our Calgary second rounder.

I still think LeBlanc has something to show. There is only like 9 people on the entire Hamilton roster that have a plus rating. He still needs a better shot.

He needs to do alot of things better, he has nothing really special in his game that shows he can be a good player in the NHL. The only reason we drafted him was to get a french player in front of the Habs fans in the Bell center.

Nice, I was also at a game a few months ago against the Bruins. I found that it was very quiet.

He had good potential. So far, he simply seems to have fizzled. It happens to a lot of prospect, even 1st rounders.

Timmins won't gonna have a 100% effectiveness ratio.
