I think he has done a hell of a job in Pittsburgh(Shero)
Yeah Shero's done fine. I never said he did not.

Shero went for it, and he's right to do so.

The draft picks WILL be missed.

But you think that after they do this, they'll be a powerhouse the next 7-10 years? Think again. Let's see them draft another ****ing Lemieux, or Crosby. Good ****ing luck.

I expect, anticipate and will immensely enjoy Pittsburgh's coming decline. They deserve it.

I also hope they lose the franchise when it comes. And it will come.

They start losing again, watch the 'fans' melt away. They almost went bankrupt before drafting Crosby, the saviour. That's how much fans there really love hockey, like: not.

That's how much I hate them. Except for the Seals, who were owned by an idiot millionaire, Pittsburgh has been the worst 67 expansion team on average the last 46 years by far.

A Pox on them, and a Pox on their fair weather fans. They tanked for Mario, and they tanked for Crosby. They represent everything I hate about Bettman's NHL. I hate them way more than Laffs, and Bruins. Way more.

Morrow, a 1st and 2 2nds is not a drop in the bucket. 1st in this darft could be Zykov Gauthier or Petan for example.

I'm not saying they are doomed, but they did trade away a fair bit of value.
No it's not. Revenues have skyrocketed even this shortened season and the cap will continue to go up and up and up.

No way in hell it's here. He can't even crack a terrible TB defensive lineup.

I could bet a lot that it's here.

At this rate, please God, let it not be us and let's go after Sarich instead. At least he fills "some" need.

Oh yeah? Whos your source?

Yesterday night on L'Anti-Chambre, Mathieu Darche -whos a Pominville's friend (they train togeter every summer)- said he knows for a fact that it would be a dream for him to play here.

Dreger reporting Streit will not sign an extension and will test the Free Agent market.

Islanders do not want to trade him though.

I guess some of these posters never saw the 70s Canadians that used to play these three certain guys like they never left the ice
Other teams were sick of seeing numbers 19, 18, and 5.

I do think that Markov looks tired in those back to back games as he has played a lot of hockey this year compared to last two years. Subban, Emelin, Gorges are young and can play much longer. The only issue is if one of the 5 we do have for veterans were to get injured. We have great future depth but right now with Diaz out we are thin. Now we still do have Kaberle and he did not look bad out there, Montreal I think just don't want to have him injured so they can buy him out. In an emergency though worse case you play him and if needed trade him with a pick to a team needing to reach minimum cap next year.

Darren Dreger‏@DarrenDreger5m
Mark Streit is unlikely to agree to extension with NYI.Isles may keep him for playoff race, but unless there's change, Streit will be a UFA.

Streit...right D, offensive minded.
Diaz-like....

I'm DTF for Streit. And then maybe we can sign him to an extension and get Carbonneau to finally shut up about it

Your honestly going to start talking and comparing what Shero has done over the years? The Hossa deal for crap? Armstrong, Esposito and a 1st can you name that player??????? In that trade Mr Shero was even able to get Dupuis as a trow in

Then he traded useless defenseman Ryan Whitney for Kunitz and Tangradi

He traded Goligoski for ****ing Neal and Niskanen anther "throw in"

He has a young team Malkin and Crosby are still 25 years old do you think he gives a **** about a 1st rounder(26th-30th) and please don't tell me it's a deep draft cause it's luck

They haven't giving up a goal in Murray's 2 games on defense so far, but hey that 2nd rounder might be that future hall of famer!!!

I wouldn't do MAB but I'd take Streit back in a heart beat. 2nd pairing on the PP would be awesome with Beaulieu.

Glencross could also be a good fit on our team.

If he is going to test the UFA 100% the Islanders should move him playoff push or not
