The Ducks couldn't even get it to a SO so the ROW wouldn't count. Damn it.

LA winning in regulation is huge. Its too bad CLB won, but at least we have 2 games in hand on them. Its going to be a big BOA coming up, probably the most meaningful in the last 5 years.

Bahhh.

I needed a win from Holtby for my fantasy team.

Washington let in a shorthanded goal with 10 seconds left to tie it then lost in OT...

for someone with their amazing record, boy does Ana lose a lot.

Every time I watch the scoreboard they are on the losing end.

obviously they will beat us, but that's beside the point when they're losing to toronto.

Are people seriously worried about the Blue Jackets? No doubt in my mind Oilers finish ahead of Columbus.

Blue Jackets are a horrible club. If they make the playoffs there should be an investigation. Outshot 17-1 in the 3rd today and somehow stagger to OT and get the W in OT.

Horseshoes stuck up their ass more than anything.

Jackets have only 4 home games left and they're pathetic on the road. I smell a 6 game road trip coming up that will bury them.

Anaheim better be angry after that Columbus game. They play Dallas three times in a row. Could use them beating the crap out of the Stars.

Be careful what you read today April first means you'll definitely come across some members of the media making stuff up as a joke

With Phoenix pretty much out of the playoffs and only 3 home games remaining, don't be surprised if you start hearing some relocation rumbles pretty soon.

Posted in the BoH board, there are already rumours that the management group for the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City has called promoters and told them that their booked dates may no longer be available from September - December.

The only city the team can move to is Quebec. Seattle has an owner, but no arena. KC has an arena but no owner. Quebec City has both.

And this isn't an April Fools joke either.

Given the new divisions I can't see a western team moving to the east. And given the NHL's knowledge of Canadian thirst for teams, I can't see an American team relocating to Canada again. They'd be leaving too much money in expansion fees on the table

I still think Phoenix moves to Seattle and plays in Key arena for a couple of years until the new building is done.

QC and Hamilton will get their teams via expansion.

The Key Arena is a horrible hockey arena. The arena floor is built for basketball, so to fit hockey, the ice surface needs to take out the end sections on one side, making the ice surface sit to one, empty end of the arena. It's ugly.

I know the Isles are moving into Barclay's and it's the same deal, but Barclay's is newer

Plus there's no guarantee the NBA comes back to Seattle right away. The Kings are getting their affairs in order in Sacramento and have a potential arena deal/owner. But David Stern may force the Maloofs to sell to Hansen, regardless of bidding price. If the NBA stays in Sacramento, there will be no arena built in Seattle until the NBA returns, thus putting the NHL "cart" before the NBA "horse" in Seattle may not be a wise decision.

So tonight we are hoping for:

Colorado to beat Detroit
Minnesota to beat St. Louis
Chicago to beat Nashville
Anaheim to beat Dallas
Vancouver to beat San Jose

And of course for us to beat Calgary. It is pretty unlikely all of these things happen, but if things go right tonight our chances for a playoff birth increase substantially.

Come on, Colorado. You have to be good for SOMETHING.

EDIT: the announcers in this game just talked about wrestling tag teams for two minutes. They somehow got to Verne Gagne, who is, "no relation to Sam Gagner".

American play-by-play.....

If the Oilers play good hockey over their final few games then they'll give themselves a chance. Anything can happen with so many inter-conference games. Just gotta stay in the hunt.

Man I wonder what happened to Kaberle. 4 or 5 years ago never did I think he'd be sent to waivers. The Oilers once tried to acquire him didn't they?

5 years can do a lot to a player. See what happened to Teemu Selanne... or Jaromir Jagr... Wait, nevermind.

So is Gaborik going to SJ or is SJ just unloading players for the sake of unloading players? Sure Handzus and Douglas are nothing more then role players and Clowe is a shell of his former self, but it's odd a playoff team would just move these players for nothing more then picks.

Oh Feaster what in the **** are you doing? I thought you had too many goalie prospects. And a AHLer that was an unsigned draft pick? Really can't you get some names that people have heard of before? Conditional pick tops it off.

The Oilers have one less point than the Jets in 2 fewer games.

Iginla gets his first as a Penguin on the powerplay.

Wouldn't mind him doing well in Pittsburgh.

Kind of dumb to say but if the Oilers were in the East they'd be a playoff team for sure IMO. Its been said by many over the past 2-3 years but the Eastern conference is weak, putting it mildly. That SE division is an absolute joke...

Yup. If only we got to play the Panthers, Sabres, Lightning, or Flyers even once.
