Oh thank god San Jose won.

Now we need to win our next couple of games and we need Vancouver to lose a couple of theirs.

Sounds like MAB will be traded today. Not gonna lie, I actually wouldn't mind him on our 2nd pairing.

Pierre LeBrun just tweeted that the Dallas Stars have decided to trade Jagr. He feels that Boston would lead the list of front runners.

EDIT: MAB to Tampa for Adam Hall and a 7th rounder....two former Wild players being swapped!!!

Calgary Sun article about Feaster and his trades. It also includes some quotes from him. Here are some quotes and tidbits from the article:
Quote:
After years of delusion, the Calgary Flames are finally coming to terms with just how far from adequate the talent on the roster has been.

“Maybe I wasn’t as intellectually honest as I needed to be,” said GM Jay Feaster said Monday of the last two years at the helm.

“And I wasn’t going to make that mistake this year.”
Quote:
And that’s what the Flames need now: Losses.

Lots of ’em.

The team’s been pretty good at losing the last four years, but with the overhaul in effect, they need to lose at a slightly higher clip.

They need to lose lots more from now until season’s end to guarantee the team’s first top-five draft pick in franchise history. And they’d be wise to keep it up for the next year or two.

Nobody is suggesting tanking games.

This is just a despicable mindset. Just so ugly to think about.

EDIT: THANKS A LOT LAPA NOW YOU MAKE ME LOOK SILLY

Connauton, according to McKenzie. Is that a good deal for VAN?

Vancouver's loading up, St Louis is loading up...you know Los Angeles is going to make a move too (whoops, they did). Wild need to **** or get off the pot.

Also, McKenzie thinks Vancouver's going after Clowe.

7.0C according to Hockey's Future. So a potential 2nd liner.

If Dallas gets a late 1st or some 2nds for Jagr they can really help out their rebuild. They still need some good forward prospects though.

Vancouver is Vancouver. **** 'em.

The Blues have quite the defensive core now. Piet, Shatt, Leopold, Cole, Polak,Redden, Bouwmeester, Jackman, Russell. Makes our back end look pretty rough.

While I wouldn't mind an upgrade here or there, who can they go after? Remember that in order to get quality, you have to give quality. What good prospects are we ready to part with? We don't want to totally mess up the chemistry, but more importantly, is there anyone out there who is willing to take the few guys we have available?

It takes two to make a trade, and unfortunately, not every GM is as dumb as Neuwy or Feaster.

Besides, Roy may end up being a rental for the Nucks. Do we want to give up something good for a rental? Or for a guy who is gonna hurt us cap-wise when it comes time to pay the prospects such as Brodin?

It's all very tricky with the cap going down. Though we could certainly use another power forward after that mess last night.

Vancouver got a good deal on the Higgins re-signing if true (only a rumor right now). 4 years at $2.5 per.

Nate Schmidt to Caps is done, according to Russo. Also, Budish to Predators.

With all these moves happening today, the TSN TradeCentre day of broadcasting will be kind of anti-climatic, don't ya think?

I wonder if we could pry Weiss from Florida? And what would it take?
