Could pick him up, but he's a rental and over 40 so we wouldn't be offering one of the 1sts. So we'd probably get outbid by Boston or someone else desperate unless we dip into the blueline pool.

The Rangers 1st stands a good chance of being our highest pick. The high pick is not in play. So it'd be conditional.

Somewhat reasonable otherwise, although that's more than we'd like to pay.

EDIT: Just double-checked and it'd actually be a no-go because Horton is a rental. The 1sts are only going out for guys who would still be here next year.

Maybe because Jagr could put a team over the top?

If it was the Hawks I would ask for Saad.

If its the Bruins, I would ask for Hamilton.

No give aways for Jagr, either pay the price or Jagr tries to put the Stars in the playoffs.

It is a done deal. Daily Sport has reporter in Dallas. The trade was confirmed by Jagr and his agent Svoboda. He was traded to Boston:

There is zero chance either of those two would even be asked for, much less actually traded for jagr. Please try and be reasonable.

And 1st round picks have the same value year to year as each draft has the exact same amount of depth.

Oh snap! I hope it's true and the price isn't too high.

Jagr is not worth Hamilton or Saad

I hope Boston did trade Hamilton for Jagr though. That'd be hilarious

I don't know, I wouldn't be surprised it was just Svoboda playing games again, just like 2 years ago.
