It was a tough decision to narrow it to ten. Here is what I chose:

Game 2 1974 Finals at Boston (Clarkie in OT)
Game 6 1974 Finals vs. Boston (Cup winner)
Game 6 1975 Finals at Buffalo (Cup winner)
1976 vs. Soviets
1979 record breaker at Boston
Game 6 1985 vs. Quebec (Poulin)
Game 6 1987 Finals vs. Edmonton (Daigneault)
Game 4 1988 comeback vs. Washington
Game 4 2000 at Pittsburgh (5 OTs)
Game 6 2004 at Toronto (JR's OT winner)

I still like the 1987 Conference finals game vs. Montreal with the giant brawl. Actually the brawl was pre-game, but it set a great tone. I still remember Dougie Crossman out on the ice in his flip-flops.

So how do you drum up fan interest for hockey during the so-called dog days of summer?

Especially, when your hockey club hasn’t had a banner off-season with big-name free agent signings?

Well, the Flyers decided to take a poll, asking fans to vote on the franchise’s greatest games. For 10 days earlier this month, 5,100 fans _ it’s not a lot, but it’s summer _ voted and when the tabulations came in, the No. 1 game • it was unanimous _ was May 19, 1974 when the Flyers won their first Stanley Cup by beating Boston, 1-0 here in Flyerdom.

The club released a top 10, all of which will be put on a DVD that will go in sale this season. “We thank our fans for their votes and interest in naming the 10 greatest games in Flyers history,” said Flyers Vice President of Marketing and Communications Shawn Tilger, in a release. “It’s obvious these games and memories have stayed with our fans over the years.”

I got my votes in and I think 7 of the 10 I picked made the grade... not bad. I am glad the Flyers and NHL are finally doing this. I wrote an email to the Flyers a few months ago asking why they don't release classic games on DVD because it sucks having to buy VHS and DVD copies off of eBay to see them. I also wish they would bring back the tradition of the season highlight tapes they had in the 80's (as others have suggested on the Board), but I guess they have to win the Cup to get one of those made. Here's hoping...

I'm glad there's a game with Pelle Lindbergh in there as well as several Bernie games and a Hexy game. Nice to see the different eras of Flyers goaltending.

I wish the 3 goal third period comeback against Washington had made the cut, but still a great list and I will definitely be picking those up!

This used to be my favorite goal, but his goal in game 6 vs TB was incredible.

I selected the game against Washington but that gets overlooked, I think, because of the way that series ended. Blown big lead in Game 7. Too bad because it was still a great comeback but the Flyers had perhaps a better comeback in a PO game at Toronto in the 1970s that is totally forgotten.

Definitely can't wait to get this set when it's released. Anybody have even the slightest of clues about what the price may be?

Not sure but I just bought the complete 1975 World Series on DVD at a discount rate of $30 or so; it is listed for $65 (or close to that) and that includes seven complete games. I think the 1994 VAN-NYR Cup Finals is on DVD packaged together with the NJ-NYR Conference Finals series, complete games.

Recently, I rewatched Game 2 of the 1974 Finals, when the Flyers were down 1-0 in the series and trailing by a goal with less than a minute to play in regulation. MacLeish made a blind pass from the corner to Dupont in the slot. The pass is among the best I have ever seen especially when you factor in the importance of the situation.
