There was mention that Jagr must have gotten a ton of assists on Lemieux goals. He probably did get more assists on goals by Lemieux than any other goal-scorer, but it's also probably very close between Lemieux, Francis, and Straka (over 70 each... maybe 75-80+ for Lemieux). After that, there's a bunch of players in the 15-30 goal range: Barnes, Nedved, Nylander, Lang, Prucha, Hrdina, Shanahan, Stevens, Kevin Hatcher, Kip Miller, etc.

Just found out that Jagr is the oldest NHL player to score 4 goals in 4 consecutive games, the last guy to do it was Dean Prentice who did the same at the age of 40. But Jagr, at 41, has now done it twice! He has 2 separate 4 goal scoring streaks this year.

Yeah, if the Stars can survive the latter years of the Hicks' ownership while the Mavs won a title, the Stars aren't moving.

Thanks for the 35 games, Jags. Was fun while it lasted.

Props to Jagr for doing what's best for the team.

Brad Richards could learn from such a classy move.

Jaromir Jagr's agent Petr Svoboda tells CKWX that Jagr gave Dallas a list of teams that he's willing to be traded to this morning.

I am not excited to see him ago. I am only excited about the mentality of this team if they're willing to move him. They're finally moving in the right direction it seems and capitalizing on the trade deadline frenzy.

I want nothing more than to here in July he's re-signed with this team, but if it doesn't happen, I can live with it. It will sting though.

Since he wants to play in the playoffs, he probably won't. Let's face it, the Stars have become the New York Islanders of the west.

I'm OK with this, and I hope they honor his wishes. Maybe they will have an opportunity to keep the relationship positive.

I'd go with the Florida Panthers of 1999-2011 and 2013

Think about the storybook aspect of Jagr going to Boston and potentially knocking the Pens out of the playoffs two years in a row after Shero told Jagr that he did not want him on this team.

yes - nice to be around.

I'm NOT happy with this trade. I really do not like Boston. However, it's likely that this may just be until the end of the season.

We'll see where he lands after that... I think he'll probably stick around the NHL 1 more year..

Oh well...

Those of us who knew him best talk about him often. I swear, the stuff he pulled. It always makes us laugh. Sometimes it makes me sad, though, Jagr being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are just too bright... and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice... but still, the place you live is that much more drab and empty that they're gone.

You didn't really just post this, did you?

Yet oddly enough, I agree, only with more explosions and motorcycles.
