Got preapproved for a home loan. Feeling very, very real now....

Going to be looking at a few more places this weekend, but already feel insanely good about an amazing condo in Skokie that I visited over the weekend. Trying hard not to metaphorically fall in love on the first date over here....

Yeah, it was funny, but not one I'd care to see a 2nd or 3rd time.

I love it. The whole movie slams American ignorance. It's absolute fantastic.

When I watch Borat, I go, "hey he's chasing after him naked with a fist *****," not, "haha stupid Americans are so ignorant".

Same here... that's not to say he isn't trying to get his point across as a writer/actor/whatever. I just don't go to watch a goofy comedy, and be fed political messages. Wrong place wrong time for crap like that.

That scene was ****ed on several levels. The rest of the movie makes fun of ignorance. Look at the frat guys, the stereotypes, the racism, the multi-cultural actions, etc.

It's a comedy... I'm not digging deep into a goofy ass comedy to see America's problems.

I'm in a similar boat. What all are you going to look at before you make an offer?

Like, are you going to do due diligence on the HOA agreement? I'm renting a dude's condo right now and they're trying to pass an amendment so future owners in the building won't normally be able to rent it out. I figure that if something like that exists at a place I want to buy, it would change the value of the place.

That's one thing. I don't know how many more things like that there are.

My next GleeDT will be the final one of this regular season despite the outcome of the game. I want to leave you guys hungry for more rather than screaming at me to stop.

Nothing set in stone, just a preapproval saying that the bank would be willing to offer me a loan up to a certain amount (enough for a condo, let's just leave it at that). All the details such as the rate and per month payment would have to be determined later.

Just a step to get your foot in the door for putting an offer in on a place.

Yes, I am beginning to look into the condo association as we speak. I'm deciding to hold off on putting in an official offer until I at least visit a few more properties and find out more of the down and dirty about the place.

Of the locations I've visited so far, I've loved one, liked another, and found a potential diamond in the rough if I'm willing to put the time and effort in to repair/clean it up first.

I would if I had even the slightest bit of know-how on these things.

I do have another idea, though. Might just save it for the last game vs. Vancouver or a playoff game..

Playing 12" softball this year on a work team. I always thought of it as girl baseball. For anyone who's played, is it more like baseball or 16"?

To any of you applying for mortgages, I do loan origination with Wells Fargo. Chances are I can beat the rate you're given, so if you're interested send me a PM.

12'' is hard to describe. It's more like Baseball in the way you need a mitt, the ball isn't soft like 16'' normally is and the delivery, even in slow pitch is much faster than 16''. It still is slower than baseball and obviously the ball is bigger which makes it easier to hit.

I feel it's closer to playing baseball, personally.
