Who knows what either players upside is. Huselius hasn't really reached his full potential yet, and neither has Kobasew. Neither of these two are getting a lot of ice time - Kobasew getting 12 minutes per game, suggests he could be doing a lot better. Huselius is a little over 14 minutes per game, and at that he had 47 points, after a horrendous start in Florida. Huselius is closer to arriving I would say, but Kobasew has been held back by his ice time. Two good prospective offensive guys in my estimation. The Flames are gonna surprise some teams with their depth I suspect.

I, again, agree Kob is not as good as Hemsky at all.

I am a Canucks fan FYI and the Flames style is boring. Doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy it if the Canucks were successful with a similiar system, winning is what I care about....I don't care how it gets done personally.
The problem with Huselius is his consistency. Some nights he's a superstar and other nights he's invisible... If he can improve his consistency, he could have an 85-90 point season (if he's playing with Tanguay and Iginla). I'm not exaggerating.

Not as good as Hemsky though. But I'd rather have Phaneuf than Hemsky anyway.

Boyd is the only one who could come close to that level and there's only a slim possibility of that.

I like Kobasew as well....I think you are right on the mark with your assertion that he has more upside than Lombardi. He's definately not in Hemsky's league but that doesn't mean he can't be a player who can consistantly deliver some secondary scoring. I like him better than Huselius because Kobasew isn't afraid to go into the corners and get his hands dirty. Lombardi reminds me of a younger Shawn Donavon...great wheels and no finish. As for a line consisting of Lombardi, Huselius and Kobasew...I think it would be a defensive disaster. Kobasew and Huselius are the worst defensive forwards on the Flames and that line would require some seriously sheltered minutes. I also think a line with both Lombardi and Huselius on it would be a little too soft.

Lombardi is good defensively... you could also spread things out more and put frisen with Lombardi and Kobasew... and Huelius with Lundmark and Amonte

Most players are like that. Look at a guy like Hemsky, when he is on you know it. When he is off his game he is invisible. He either plays his heart out or diappears. In that sense I think him and Huselius are very comparable.

I don't think you can compare Huselius and Hemsky because:

1.age...Hemmer is 5 years younger than Huselius
2.point...Huselius hasn't reached 70 points yet

It's nice to see Sutter suck it up and play "un-Sutter type" players on his roster...
