I hope we don't get Clowe. Really won't help our struggling offense. EDIT: For a heafty price.

Accept not scoring is just one of the issues this team has. Being as tough as paper is another big issue. Clowe would address that.

Again at the right price. A third and a lesser prospect.

Piggybacking on to this^, does anyone think we can get top dollar for Stralman from Boston?

Stralman + third for a 1st?

Nash-Stepan-Callahan
Zuccarello-Richards-Gaborik
Clowe-Miller-Hagelin
Nystrom-Boyle-Asham

I like. Needs a legitimate third line center, though.

I think the Rangers should be sellers at the deadline instead of always being buyers.

With Hagelin on the 3rd line now too its a really solid forechecking line if we can add in another consistent forechecker there. We need a glue guy and forechecker on that line, we can't lose Boyle.
I disagree. He sucks and is a 4th liner on his good days. if he can be dealt for any value whatsoever, his spot will be upgraded by whoever takes his place. Forechecker?? You're funny.

Funny what? He's an excellent forechecker. Just because you say things doesn't make them true.

Fine with him as the 4th line center. Get a 3C like Goc. Fixed.

So Clowe, a 3 time 50+ point scorer, suddenly forgot how to play hockey?? He's probably suffering from Brad Richards/Marian Gaborik syndrome - Not playing anywhere during the lockout so therefore not playing in any competitive games for 8 months. I think he's a great change of scenery candidate and would have no problem with the Rangers picking him up for a reasonable price. Boyle/Pyatt and a 3rd/4th. Or for one of the 8000 2nd round picks we have. Do it, Slats.

What else would you call him?! Lol. Not a play maker. He's a grinder/forechecker.

I'd be happy with Glencross pending on price. Since Bouwmeester and Iginla didn't get much, I'd bet Glencross goes cheap (he has a NTC, so if he wants he can force Feaster's hand to get to NYR).

Something like a 2nd rounder/mid-level prospect.

People who are pointing out ZERO goals are completely missing the point on Clowe. Great locker room guy, tons of grit, big time battle level, and has scored plenty in the past. He might just need a change of scenery and if it's something like Boyle and a 2nd + a middling prospect you do that deal every time. The guy is just 30.

He's the biggest Boyle hater on earth. People would be clamoring for Boyle after seeing Newbury get his minutes.

I am going to be pretty pissed if the price for Clowe include any of Kreider/Miller/Hagelin/Fast.

I think Miller needs to be sent down. I wish Kreider was a center. I think Boyle should be the 3rd line center. I think his game has been improving.

Might want to have Powe in there instead of Asham. You look at the success of last night and a big part of it was the PK.

Lindberg for center depth?
