This month’s episode on MSG chronicles the Sabres’ mentor trip in Florida with Sabres owner Terry Pegula, an introspective glimpse into Patrick Kaleta’s busy off-ice schedule, a feature detailing the close friendship of Steve Ott and Mike Weber and a one-on-one sit-down with Sabres interim coach Ron Rolston. Each episode on MSG is 30 minutes long and is hosted by Sabres broadcaster Kevin Sylvester.

Viewers in the Buffalo and Rochester markets will have many chances to catch the most recent run of “Beyond Blue & Gold” on MSG – it will air 11 times on MSG throughout the month of April. LaxSabre - The airings are on nights when theres a Sabres game on MSG. The episode will be shown either before the pre-game show, after the post-game show or both like what will happen this Friday night.

I loved seeing they now have a "Mental Skills Coach"

In all seriousness, very interested to see what that does this year...

Really looking forward to this year's draft and dev camp episodes, which should be out soon. My favorite ones are still last year's draft and Kaleta. Just watched the Ott + Weber and Rolston ones, both pretty good.

I hope they do profile episodes on rookies, e.g. Pysyk if he makes the team or maybe one following Ristolainen's adjustment to NA in Rochester if he plays there. Still mad they aren't stretching these out to 10-15 minutes. Not only do I just want more footage, but most simply aren't able to hit a stride without more time.

10 to 20 would be great. It gives us a good look at some of the guys and what goes on. Could also hit a stride like you said and get more popular.

Potentially great video, but the editor needs to be slapped. Way too many cuts and repeated footage. Just tell the story in a more linear way, and stop trying to make it edgy. I'd like to know all of the tests they gave these guys, how many guys participated, etc.

If you're talking about the draft combine episode, I've always gotten the feeling they don't want to release a lot of specifics about that. Ie they don't give lists of who attended, etc.

When Nashville went up Devine can be heard going "they got the ****ing Finn scout up there." With Seth Jones on the ******* board.

More than that:

Devine when Nashville goes up with the Finn scout: "They have the ****ing Finn scout up there. They are going to take our ****ing guy."

After Nashville takes Jones: "Thank god!"

They either had a low opinion of Jones or a really high opinion of Risto.

He's fiery.

Just confirms that Ristolainen was their guy.

Devine: "We've been watching him for two years now"

Also I've noticed that Devine seems to have gotten a promotion. Wasn't he always just "Head of Scouting" before? Now they have him listed as Assistant General Manager.

Yeah, I noticed that too, in the last couple months he's been referred to with the new title.

Never heard any kind of promotion or title change announcement.
