I think he'll be a good pick-up for the Habs. Solid, steady 3rd pairing defensive defenseman who is tough as nails and can play on the PK. Hockey IQ isn't the greatest, however.

Good bottom pair dman. Once played wing in the NHL but that was only because Terry Murray is a jackass. Great teammate who never complained about warming the press box. Played some PK time this year when he was in and wasn't all that bad. Won't be much higher than a bottom pairing guy ever.

Also his nickname is Whiskey....or DD44. Who wouldn't want a 44 DD?

anyway, who the hell is this guy
Drew-whiskey.

He's been the #7 guy in LA for a couple years. Mostly a stay-at-home defenseman. Nothing special really, but he can get the job done.

Not at all really. DD44 is a good team guy and your prototypical #7 defenseman who can step in and play bottom pairing minutes.

He's a nice depth guy..maybe more. He's played fine when he had his chances. Just too many defeseman on the Kings. I wish him the best of luck and hope he can pick up more minutes.

Fan of Drewiske. Solid 6th-7th guy. Simple game and can play physical.

He will chip in a goal once in a while but don't count on it.

Otherwise, solid in his own end. WILL make a mistake, but rarely a glaring one.

5th rounder seems fair.

Can he/does he play RD?

Seems like a good chemistry type pickup, sort of what I'm expecting from MB these days.

It says on Wikipedia that he won the Wisconsin High School Mr. Hockey award a year after fracturing his neck.

Does he get injured a lot? Hasn't played many games in the NHL and he is 28!
