Hab fans, Drewiske is a great pick up. Great guy in the room and a really solid player. Teammate of mine when I was at Wisco! #stee

Great to hear

Edit-Darn LaurentHabs beat me too it
Habs seems to love guys that are great in the room.

While our competitors over pay for diminishing players MB has quietly added Halpern at no cost and a big apparently steady character depth dman for almost nothing.

Flashy? Not a chance.

Headline worthy? Not even close.

Smart? Well Halpern sure was. Let's hope Drewiske is equally refreshing and quietly useful.

He does that but he's not going to be one of the guys KNOWN for that. He is capable but again, he's nowhere near the level of physicality like Matt Greene is. Relies moreso on positioning than brute strength. Smart and won't make a lot of mistakes, which is nice.

I don't know this kid at all but I had a hard on for Gallagher at the beginning of the season and look where he is now.

I don't know this Drewskkfigjik whatever his name is. But he's going to explode in Montreal. Book it.

Calgary got rid of about 14 Mil in the JBo and Iginla trade, and they're still shopping, they may need a player or two for next season to reach "floor".

Sigh, again... Kassian was traded for a pick to Ottawa a week after he cleared waivers.

Kaberle can be traded and the Habs can retain some of his contract, which is a much better option than claiming him and absorbing all of it.

I doubt it happens, it was just a thought. Likely gets bought out after this season.

Which is exactly what the habs needed, especially now that we don't know when Diaz will be back.

Hopefully he takes #44 and plays with Bouillon so they could become the Gretzky pairing

6 picks in 3 rounds is not enough for you?

If a team picked him up on waivers they would have to pay his entire salary, if they mke a trade for him, Montreal might be able to cover some of the salary under the new CBA rules, but I may be reading this wrong.

In any case, I doubt that Kaberle will be traded.

13 hits in 20 games.

I just hope he will be our 7th or 8th D, not 6th...

Honestly, I'm okay with this. Sounds like a solid depth pick-up to me.

That's what he's going to be, and until Diaz comes back he will likely be starting as our 6th d-man.

Not one of our beloved 5th round picks! ... In all seriousness it's a good depth trade that I'd say is in our favour, even if we don't resign him.

I remember he was playing with doughty for a while. I remember him being quietly solid. Maybe not the punishing dman I was looking for but an upgrade as the #6 D nonetheless

Are people really judging a player by their Hits and PIMs?

Interesting pick-up. Off the radar. Bergevin and crew must have really done their homework on this one to deal for him. Let's see how he does. Hard to judge when no one has watched him play much.

Nope. Want the chance to pick more Gallagher's, Dietz' and Hudon's in the mid-rounds. Especially when it's a guy who never plays we'd be moving anyway.

I guess at $616,00, it's a low risk gamble.

We'll see what he can bring. The LA board said he was non physical. I don't know if that's true or not, but if it is, I don't get this move.

Again, we'll see. Maybe management sees something in this guy. Bergevin seems to have an eye for underrated players.

If they're so damn good in the locker room, we should find a way to make sure they stay there.

But he's good in the room and is kinda mean. Well not exactly mean, but he's definitely not nice. Though a fan claims he's been working on his meanness. Oh, and he doesn't get too bothered when he doesn't play.

We're going to slaughter the other teams with our kindness.
